Proceedings:
The session started at around 9 o’clock in the morning with all the Senior High School English teachers
present. Gleacel M. Hernandez started the ball rolling by laying down the items for discussion.
Gleacel M. Hernandez discussed the importance of holding the proposed Senior High School English fair.
She mentioned that there had not been any similar activity held within the Senior High School department since it
started out in the year 2016. This activity would be highly relevant to the needs of the students as most of them are
already shifting their focus on other areas of interests leaving their passion for English at the back burner. Further,
the said fair would not only highlight the knowledge and skills of the learners in English literature and language but
also motivate them to be highly competitive individuals. Specifically, the objectives of the activity are as follows:
2. Activities/ Contests
The English teachers laid down the possible activities that would not only challenge the learners’ mastery of
English but would also be in line with their interests and inclination. It’s but important to select contests that would
provide room for enjoyment for them. Most of these activities are individual contests so as to minimize preparation
time.
Grade 11
English Rap Battle
Spelling Bee
Digital Logo- Making Contest
Music Video- (Contemporary Songs)
Grade 12
Grades 11 & 12
3. Committees Involved
Since the project involves a large number of teachers, the club decided to distribute the tasks evenly among
all the members. Each team is to be led by a chair and co-chair who are deemed expert in the area of specialization.
Contest Team
4. Other Matters
It was agreed upon that each team would be in charge of the preparation of all the materials needed for the
