This is my report for BBA499A Internship Program. This report entails my observations and
analysis on GSK Private Ltd. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your guidance

The report is structed as per the guidelines set, and encompasses the work I have done during my
working period and of the knowledge I have gathered. And includes a scenario analysis for the
company on one of its recent managerial decision making.

This report was brought into fruition by the help of several individuals. Firstly, I would like to
thank my academic advisor Ms. Nuzhat Sharmeen for laying the groundwork on how to proceed
with my work. The insights she had provided have enabled me to prepare my work in a well-
fashioned manner.

Secondly, I am grateful to my work supervisor, Mr. Kazi Akramul Hoque, at GSK for providing
his professional guidance and the necessary data to carry out my work. And on top of that, I
would like to thank you each and every colleague at GSK for supporting me throughout the
course of my work.

The preparation of this report was done to the best of my ability and I would like to thank my
peers at IUB for their assistance on every step of the way. Their constant support allowed me to
complete my report successfully.

Executive Summary

The report presented is based on a three-month period of internship I underwent at GSK Private
Limited starting from 27th June and continuing till 27th September. This report entails the tasks I
was assigned and the observations I made.

The initial portion of the report encompasses the company as a whole. Its corporate visions,
structure and functions are detailed out to enable any reader to understand the gist of the firm and
its operations.

The following section talks about the functions of the department I was hired into and the tasks
that were assigned to me. It offers broad description of the day-to-day activities the finance
department is entrusted with along with the tasks I had to perform.

In the next section, I have performed a financial analysis of GSK along with two other rival
companies to understand the financial standings of the firms. This portion allows me to break
down a clearer image of the company’s performance to its rival over a period of time. And along
with this ratio analysis, I have drawn up a scenario analysis that the company had to deal with
during my work.

Lastly, the final section offers my perspective on overcoming challenges being faced by the
company during my work as an intern and on the results of the financial analysis performed. The
overall experience of my work period has given me much to learn and provided me with a
platform to implement my course learnings. And I have tried to reflect that on the preparation of
my report.
