Instructions for Product Management Experiential Learning

Assignment
Timeline: 21 days followed by presentation on 21st day

Deadline for Submission: 06th Sept, 2021 – 9:00 AM

PPT Presentations: To begin from 06th Sept, 2021 in class (2 Groups each week selected randomly)

Work to be done:

1. The teams are to make a google survey form (minimum respondents needed is 120)
2. Questionnaire to be made according to the attribute list prepared after doing the
pilot survey (select the best attributes from the pilot survey) – at least 15 attributes
must be identified.
3. Select a minimum of 3-4 brands in the category and do the survey for these brands,
the attributes will remain constant for all the brands.
4. The rating should be done between these brands that are selected.
5. Capture the relative weightage of each attribute under the Likert scale for each
brand.
6. Conduct a factor analysis using these for the brands and come up with a perceptual
map.
7. Submit the report as a group assignment.
8. Create a 20 min PPT on your Project.
9. Upload the report, ppt and the raw data of the surveys conducted into a single folder
on the drive.
Note: Price should not be selected as a feature, function or an attribute – there ideally should not
be any questions related to price.

Report Format
Sections of report:

1. Company’s taken and product identified


2. Listing of attributes in 3 categories (listing of attributes to be done only after the
pilot study is conducted and attributes identified form them) and final shortlisting of
the attributes and reason.
3. Sample Questionnaire
4. SPSS output sheet with explanation of the analysis done. (Factor Nomenclature logic
also to be mentioned.)
5. Attribute rating, perceptual map with interpretations
6. Conclusion and recommendations from the findings
7. Individual learning from the project (done individually and must consist of at least 10
points from each individual)
Note for Report:

1. Each section of the report is to be flag paged, should contain relevant heading and
with cover page.
2. Each chapter should denote the accountability for the respective section (Maximum
only 2 people should be responsible for each section)
3. After index page, accountability should be indexed along with the chapter names.

Note for PPT: A 20-minute PPT is to be prepared with data interpretation, findings and
analysis. It is recommended that the presentation is not jammed up with numbers but with
relevant interpretations and be made interesting.
