Water resistant, high performance cemen ous skim coat and smooth pu y plaster for inter-
nal and external applica ons

Description
Technical Properties. W/P ratio = 0.4:
Cemcoat Pu y is a polymer modified cemen ous skim
Colour: White or grey
coat, smooth finishing and wall pu y plaster specially
designed to be over painted by decora ve paints in Fresh wet density: 1.7 ± 0.1 g/cm³
internal and external applica ons.
Applica on thickness: Up to 3 mm
Cemcoat Pu y composed of unique composi on of Bond strength:
cement, limestone, dry powders, selected polymers and ≥ 1 MPa @ 28 days
ASTM D4541
special hydrophobic addi ves which when mixed with
water produces a creamy paste suitable for plastering and Compressive strength:
≥ 10 MPa @ 28 days
filling small cracks and pinholes on ver cal and overhead ASTM C109
surfaces in dry or humid condi ons. Flexural strength:
≥ 3 MPa @ 28 days

Advantages
Normally no primer is required for the applica on of
Cemcoat Pu y. However, areas to be plastered should
be soaked with clean water before applying the plaster,
except for gypsum and plaster boards.

Method of Use
Substrate Preparation
Substrate must be clean and free from oil, grease, dust
and laitance.
To ensure proper mixing, a mechanically powered mixer
or drill fi ed with suitable paddle should be used.
7.8 - 8.2 litres of clean water for each 20 kg bag should
be added to clean container. The powder is then added
slowly to the water while mixing con nuously with low
speed mixer/drill (400 - 600 rpm). Mixing me should be
con nued un l uniform consistency is obtained. Leave
the mix for 5 minutes and s r again.
Placing and Finishing
The suitable thickness of applica on is up to 3 mm per
coat using stainless steel scraper or pu y knife. If higher
thickness is required another layer should be applied
a er the first layer has ini ally set. At higher applied
thicknesses, small hair cracks may appear.
A er full drying (24 hours), the surface should be
smoothed using fine sand paper.

Cemcoat Pu y has a shelf life of 12 months from date of
manufacture if stored at temperatures between 5°C and
35°C in original unopened bags.

Cautions

Health and safety

Cemcoat Pu y may cause irrita on to skin or eyes.

In case of accidental contact with eyes, immediately flush
with plenty of water for at least 10 minutes and seek
medical advice if necessary.
