pictures .
Ans1. The essential conditions required by plants are sunlight, water, air, and
nutrients from the soil.

Name the biggest and the smallest leaf that you have seen. Measure and write down
the length of any two leaves which are there in your garden (use your ruler for
measurement).
Ans2. Big leaves – banana leaf, coconut leaf, colocasia leaf, money plant (few
varieties), canna, few palm varieties, etc.

climatic conditions e.g. pine tree cannot be found in the desert as it grows only

Ans6. Yes, seeds can germinate even if they are stored properly for years. This
is because seeds store food for the baby plant. When the seeds get exposed to
air, water and sunlight it starts germinating.

Ans7. Flowers have sweet smell and attractive/bright colours to attract insects.
To attract bees and insects for pollination, the flowers release a sweet smell.
This helps the bees to find the flowers easily and make honey.
