I. Give reason for the following-


1.Cells are the building blocks of a living body.

Ans.1. Our body grows from a single cell. Cells multiply and give rise to many
cells. Hence, cells are called as building blocks of a living body.

2. Lungs are part of both respiratory and excretory system.

Ans.2. Lungs are part of both respiratory and excretory system as it helps us to
remove carbon dioxide from the body.

3. Skeletal system is important for our body.

Ans.3 Skeletal system is important to give shape, support and protect the organs in
our body.

4. We need enough sleep at night.

Ans.4 Enough sleep at night gives us rest and relaxes our body.

Ans.2. The skeletal system gives shape and support to our body, protects the

internal organs and helps in the movement of our body.

Ans.3 Muscles give shape to the body along with the bones and also help the body
parts to move.

Ans.4 Nose, windpipe and lungs make up the respiratory system.

be used by our body.
