A RESOLUTION SIGNIFYING THE INTENT OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT

OF PLARIDEL TO AVAIL THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE INTENDED FOR THE
MAINTENANCE OF THE ISOLATION FACILITY FOR COVID-19 PATIENTS IN
THE MUNICIPALITY OF PLARIDEL AND OTHER RELATED PROGRAMS,
PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES AMOUNTING TO TWO MILLION FIVE HUNDRED
THOUSAND PESOS (P2,500,000.00) AND AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPAL
MAYOR HON. ALICIA RAMA-TY TO SIGN THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
(MOA) WITH THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL FOR
THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ITS PURPOSE

WHEREAS, presented for consideration is the request from the Municipal Mayor
Hon. Alicia Rama-Ty dated May 27, 2021, requesting for the urgent action from the
Sangguniang Bayan Members to avail the financial assistance from the Provincial
Government of Misamis Occidental to be utilized for the maintenance of the
municipality’s isolation facility and other related programs, projects and activities in
response to the COVID-19 pandemic through a resolution;

WHEREAS, at present, the current provincial isolation facilities are fully occupied
due to the increasing number of COVID 19 positive cases in Misamis Occidental. In
order to address the problem, local government units established temporary isolation
facilities in their respective municipalities to cater to these patients;

WHEREAS, the Local Government Unit of Plaridel’s funding for the maintenance
of its temporary isolation facility and the allocation for food and transportation of its
patients, the procurement of PPEs for the medical personnel and first responders
directly involved is insufficient;

WHEREAS, the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental is taking action by

providing financial assistance to Local Government Units amounting to Two Million Five
Hundred Thousand Pesos (P2,500,000.00) to help the LGUs in the maintenance of their
temporary isolation facilities and the procurement of various medical equipment to
improve and enhance the delivery of health services for the benefit of the constituency
of the municipalities;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of SB Member Rojim R. Banguis, duly seconded

by SB Member Algelyn B. Paradiang and SB Member Lucita M. Aviles, with the favorable
support of all the SB Members present, it was –

RESOLVED as it is hereby RESOLVED to A RESOLUTION SIGNIFYING THE

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE INTENDED FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE

PLARIDEL AND OTHER RELATED PROGRAMS, PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES
AMOUNTING TO TWO MILLION FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS
(P2,500,000.00) AND AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR HON. ALICIA
RAMA-TY TO SIGN THE MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) WITH THE
PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL FOR THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF ITS PURPOSE

RESOLVED FINALLY, that a certified copy of this Resolution be furnished to

the Municipal Mayor Alicia Rama-Ty, the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental
and other offices, departments and agencies concerned for their information, guidance
and reference.
