To tell the time, sometime you use (a.m ) and (p.m)
- A.M (Ante Meridiem) : Refers to 12 midnight-12 noon
- P.M (Post Meridiem) : Refers to 12 noon-12 midnight

There are many ways to express time in English. A common way is using the
word at, for example: at eight o’clock, at seven thirty, at a quarter to nine. Another way
is around. Around is used when you do not know the exact time, for example; I always
go to bed around nine o’clock.

NOTE : A quarter : 15 minutes, (A) half : 30 minutes, Past : After, To : Before,


A.M/am (Ante Meridiem) : in the morning, P.M/pm (post meridiem) : in the
afternoon/evening

- 1.00 : It is one o’clock - 8.30 :It is half past eight / it is eight thirty
- 7.15 : It is a quarter past seven - 8.45 :It is quarter to nine / it is eight forty
