UNIT 2. THINGS AROUND US
There are many ways to express time in English. A common way is using the
word at, for example: at eight o’clock, at seven thirty, at a quarter to nine. Another way
is around. Around is used when you do not know the exact time, for example; I always
go to bed around nine o’clock.
- 1.00 : It is one o’clock - 8.30 :It is half past eight / it is eight thirty
- 7.15 : It is a quarter past seven - 8.45 :It is quarter to nine / it is eight forty
