SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS and RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter deals with the summary, conclusions and recommendations on the results of

the study.

Summary

The main purpose of this study was to inform students what are the behavioral factors

that can affect their mental and physical health. And how it affects their lifestyle. There were

seventy-nine (79) out of eight-eight (88) respondents using the Stratified Random Sampling.

The researchers conducted the study using the descriptive method in which the researcher

sought to get a picture of the current thought, feelings or behaviors of the respondents.

The instrument that was utilized in the study is quantitative method through survey questionnaire

which was validated and administered to seventy-nine (79) out of eight-eight (88) students.

The data gathered from these respondents were analyzed and interpreted through

frequency count and percentages to determine the demographic profile of the respondents.

The study revealed that most of the shows that the respondents, are mostly looking

forward to their future. Which means that the respondents were always doing something for their

mental health.
The study shows that the respondents refuse a drive if the driver is drinking. It implies

that the respondents were often doing something for their physical health

Conclusion

Based on the finding of the study and the tables that are shown, the following conclusions

were drawn.

The study shows the majority respondents regarding the Age distribution of the

Respondents are between Age of 17 - 18 years old

or 79 out of 88 respondents. This implies that most of respondents are still in the

young adulthood and are the right age for the senior high school level.

It shows that out of 88 respondents there were 39.77 percent or 35 of the respondents

were males, while 60.23 percent or 53 of the respondents were females. It indicates that most of

the respondents were females.

There were 37.5 percent STEM students or 33 respondents; 25 percent HUMSS students

or 22 respondents; 22.73 percent ABM students or 20 respondents; while 14.77 percent GAS

students or 13 respondents. It indicates that most of the respondents were Science, Technology,

Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) students.

The interaction of the students knowing the aspect of their mental health. It was as certain

that majority of the indicator gained a verbal description “Most of the time”. It also presents the

overall weighted mean of 3.43 which means that the respondents were always doing something

for their mental health.

But there are also students who mostly answered "Often" when it comes to interacting

with other people especially when it come to their problems they are facing. This only shows

how a particular student is having a hard time approaching someone who they can ask for help.

The interaction of the students knowing the aspect of their Physical Aspect. It was as

certain that majority of the indicator gained a verbal description “Often”. It also presents the

overall weighted mean of 3.11 which means that the respondents were often doing something for

their physical health.

It shows that the behavior that affect the lifestyle of the adolescent in terms of physical

aspect with a Particular Mean Verbal Description.

Now, when it comes to the result of the significant association between the demographic

profile and the Behaviors that affect the lifestyle of the adolescent in terms of Mental Aspect. It

revealed that the p-value of each variable have significant value beyond 0.05 level of

significance set for statistical analysis.

It denotes that the association between the demographic profile and the behaviors that

affect the lifestyle of the adolescent in terms of Mental Health showed not significant

relationship in which the p-value is more than the level of significance 0.05 set for analysis.

We've also seen the result of the significant association between the demographic profile

and the Behaviors that affect the lifestyle of the adolescent in terms of Physical Aspect. It

revealed that the p-value of each variable have significant value beyond 0.05 level of

significance set for statistical analysis.

It denotes that the association between the demographic profile and the behaviors that

affect the lifestyle of the adolescent in terms of Physical Health showed not significant

relationship in which the p-value is more than the level of significance 0.05 set for analysis.

Thus, the alternative hypothesis is not rejected with respect to this variable.

Therefore, I conclude that their Age do really have a huge effect or will affect how we

interact with it comes to our adolescence days. I can see that the younger the respondent is the

more active they are when it comes to mental and physical healthiness, but when we reach the

age of adolescence, we get a little less interactive when it comes to our healthiness as we are

having other thing to prioritize to do than what the table has shown us. Being in the age of

adolescence means having more responsibilities, duties, priority and obligations. This results in

less thinking when it comes to our Mental and Physical Healthiness.

Therefore, the significant association between the demographic profile and behaviors that

affect the lifestyle of the adolescent in terms of Physical Health is insignificant relationship.

Thus, the alternative hypothesis is not rejected with respect to this variable. Therefore,

the significant association between the demographic profile and behaviors that affect the lifestyle

of the adolescent in terms of Mental Health is insignificant relationship.

Recommendations

Based on the findings and the conclusion presented, the following recommendations are

suggested:

1. Senior high school students should observe and be open minded about the changes happen in

their self to know if they are having a hard time on their selves.

2. Teachers should do a one-on-one talk on their students to know if they have a problem or they

are having a hard time in their life.

3. The teachers should conduct a program about “Behavioral factors affecting adolescent

lifestyle” to make the adolescence aware of what is happening on them and to orient them about

the changes happen if that stage comes.

4. The parents should always check on their child or children if they are okay and if they are

having a rough time about school or people around them parents should always observe their

child and talk to them to make them feel okay.
