Subject: Application letter
Dear Ms Cunningham,
I am writing to express my interest in working as camp monitor at the
residential summer camp in July.
I am a senior year pupil at The International School of Paris. I am a
native French speaker, but I have a high level of both written and spoken
English, as I am studying at an International School, and I have been
studying in a school in London, taking part in an exchange program.
Due to being only seventeen years old, I do not have any qualifications.
Nevertheless, since the age of fifteen I have been volunteering as a teacher
assistant at summer camps that were organized by our school during summer
vacation. I was in charge of helping children in doing posters, working in
team, and realizing their projects. As a result, after doing this kind of work, I
am able to deal with a big number of children, attract children’s attention, and
keep them focused on the things that they have to learn.
The teachers, with whom I had the occasion to work, have a great opinion
about my skills. They claim that I am smart, hard-working, kind and polite. I
would add that I am cheerful, as I know that children need to learn in a
friendly environment, so that it would be easier for them to feel comfortable
while studying. More than that, I have been practicing hiking since I was ten
years old, and as a result, I have a high level of physical preparation, which
would allow me to take part in different sport activities together with
children.
To close the letter, I believe that I have the skills that the job you offer
requires. I attach a full CV, and if you have any questions, I would be happy
to provide you some more information.
I look forward to hearing from you about this exciting position.
Sincerely,
Emily Cooper.
