NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE OBSERVANCE OF THE NATIONAL


DISASTER RESILIENCE MONTH FOR JULY 2021

In pursuance with the Executive Order No. 29 which mandates the observance of the National Disaster
Resilience Month in the country and the “Todas Dengue , Todo na To” Program of the Provincial
Government of Isabela on the massive Clean-up Drive Activity which aims to eliminate mosquito
breeding sites and stop the spread of dengue fever and other air borne diseases.

In light with this, the Cordon South District joined the massive Clean- up Drive activity participated in by
13 schools in the district both in the elementary and secondary. The Barangay Officials, parents, 4Ps,
LGUs, teachers and other internal and external stakeholders helped in uprooting roots, pruning trees,
trimming twigs of bougainvilleas and ornamental plants, sweeping trashes, picked up plastic wrappers
along the school drainages, to avoid de-clogging on rainy days.

Likewise, fumigation is done in the classrooms and offices to eradicate the laying of eggs by aedes
aegypti to protect the teachers and visitors coming to the schools.

The Cordonians implemented the program religiously with the usual support and cooperation of the
stakeholders.
