ABSTRACT

The research entitled “Good and Bad Influence of Korean Drama in Philippine
Television” aimed to determine the good and bad influence of watching Korean drama.
The residents of Sorrento Village are the subjects of this study.
In an attempt to meet the research ends; the researcher utilized descriptive
method. The researcher – made Likert-scale survey questionnaire which was also the
principal tool used in gathering data.
A total of 100 respondents from residents were involved in the study. The
validated Likert-scale survey questionnaire was personally administered and personally
retrieved by the researcher. The research revealed the influence of Korean Drama.
From the data gathered, the researcher found out that teens aged 15-17 felt that
Korean drama has good influence in their life; whereas teens aged 18-19 felt neutral on
this topic.
From the results, the researcher also recommends the following topics for further
study: (a) Time management of teens in watching Korean Drama. (b) Compare the
influence of Philippine Drama and Korean Drama.
