My Philosophy of Teaching as a Secondary Teacher

STUDENT OUTCOME

I believe that all children are unique and have something special they can bring
to their own education. I'm going to help my learners express themselves and accept
who they are, as well as embrace the differences of others.

INSTRUCTIONAL CLIMATE

Every classroom has its own specific community; my job as a teacher is to help
every child grow its own ability and styles of learning. I will present a curriculum that will
incorporate different learning styles, as well as make content relevant to the lives of
students. I will incorporate hands-on learning, cooperative learning, projects, themes,
and individual work that engage and engage students in learning.

TEACHING AND LEARNING

I think a teacher is morally required to enter the classroom with the highest
expectations of each student. Therefore, the instructor maximizes the beneficial benefits
that natural prophecies offer. The learners should take the chance with determination,
perseverance and hard work.

LEARNING AND GOVERNANCE

My teaching philosophy is to make the content I teach more relatable. In many

cases, when a student can’t identify with the material, it’s harder for them to gather
meaning. A teacher can do a lot of things to be in his/her profession because I do
believe that we can “hit two birds with one stone”. He should be more flexible in
maintaining classroom management for we are their second parent, knowing them well
is very healthy for us educators. Knowing the people you are teaching- what all they like
in what you teach, their requirements and what they need to learn from you. Teachers
should not get lost in the very important step towards effective teaching, i.e. know your
students well. Promising a secure environment for the learners is important, to let them
acknowledge what they don’t know and allow them to learn things. As a teacher, we can
create a safe and secure environment which will allow our learners to take the risk to
learn. Simple things like decorating classroom walls with learners’ works can develop
faith in learners for their teacher. A great teacher can also be categorized as the one
who has the ability to simplify complex learning into something that’s easily graspable to
learners. The biggest problem with most teachers is that they fail to realize if the
learners understand them or not. Keeping the learning method simple and clear is
important. We need a good relationship between the teachers and our students to build
up, an equally good relationship is required on the professional front. Timely
communication with parents, being supportive to colleagues equally affect student
learning. Good relation with colleagues can open up new teaching methods. So,
communicating with parents is highly important for a student’s overall development.

CONCLUDING STATEMENT

In conclusion, though time may pass and the educational curriculum / system
may change, still I would be the teacher and mentor that the learners would remember
as they continue their journey in their future endeavors as becoming an individual who
will make an impact to the world scene.
