Bec.Festival dances are way to promote each provinces patron saint or as a thanksgiving for a
bountiful harvest
2. What are the festivals found in the Philippines? Cultural with religious influence such as
Ati- atihan, Dinagyang, Moriones, Sinulog, Penafrancia and Pahiyas
3. How they differ from each other?
Festivals and celebrations are both events and occasions that are mark w/joy, mirth and happiness of people.
Usually the events are done in the presence of public. Celebrations is broad and general term for any merry -making
activity.
4. Which of those dances you are most familiar with? Why?
Panagbenga or flower festival because this festival in Baguio showcase different flowers that reflects the history,
traditions, values of the city and cordillera.
5. How do festivals help improve one’s fitness?
Dancing is a good type of a whole body exercise. Festivals dances exhibit fast movements and therefore it improves
health,balance and body coordination in general.
Activity 2 : What Makes Them Unique? Direction: Identify the main highlight or the reason what makes
each festival unique? Describe it in one or more sentences or phrases. The first one has been

2 .Participants decorate their homes in lively and vibrant colors. Decorations called “ KIPING” leaf-
shaped and multi colored rice paste wafers.

For me, it is impossible to promote peace and stop the conflicts between Christian and muslim through Komedya
Way, because the conflicts between them are too complicated and I think it can be fixed in another way, but
with the unity with God, the necessity of love for him. And the necessity of love of the neighbor. I think peace
will be achieved.
