PROPÓSITO DE APRENDIZAJE (Objetivo):
Familiarizarse con el tiempo pasado perfecto. Reconocer la estructura del tiempo pasado perfecto.
Comprender texto cortos donde se involucra el pasado perfecto
INSTRUCCIONES PARA TRABAJAR
Queridos padres de familia y estudiantes de las actividades a desarrollar (6) en total + la autoevaluación.
La forma de trabajo es igual que en las guía anteriores, es decir; se debe entregar el desarrollo de la guía a
mano, bien sea en cuaderno o en hojas (esto es a elección del estudiante) con encabezado y firma del acudiente
al final. La entrega es de manera física en IE Nuestra Señora del Pilar durante la alternancia o cuando el
coordinador establezca el día único de entrega y recolección de Guías. A través del Correo electrónico
inglesiepilar8910@gmail.com o del teléfono 3216162292 pueden contactarme para aclarar dudas e inquietudes
de lunes a viernes de 10.30am – 1:30pm.

Past Perfect tense- tiempo pasado perfecto

Past perfect simple Form It is formed with the auxiliary verb "had" + past participle (-ed ending for regular verbs,
e.g. worked, travelled, tried, different forms for irregular verbs, e.g. written, made, sung): Examples: I had done, I
had not done (I hadn't done), Had I done? Had I not done? (Hadn't I done?)

USES EXAMPLES

The doorbell rang at last. I had been in the room since breakfast.

Activity 1(Reading): Read the text then answer the questions. Lea el texto, luego responda las preguntas.

Who had owned it? What had they done?

The Smith family had never owned a car until they bought their first automobile in 1906. Before they bought it,
they had only used horses and a buggy for transportation. They had never owned anything so expensive before
they bought the car.

The Smith family was very excited about their automobile. The children had never ridden in an automobile before
their parents purchased the car. They had only seen a few automobiles when they went to town for supplies. But
nobody they knew had ever owned an automobile that day. They felt very lucky.

Questions
a) What had the Smith family used for transportation before they bought their first car?
b) Had the children ever ridden in an automobile before their parents purchased the car?
c) When had they seen other automobiles?
d) Had any of their friends ever owned an automobile?

Activity 2(writing): Rewrite the following sentences as negative or positive sentences, Yes/no questions,
WH questions (using the underlined word or phrase) . reescriba las oraciones en forma negativa o afirmativa, preguntas YES/No,
Preguntas WH, usando la palabras subrayada o frase. Como se muestra en el ejemplo.

a) The Smith family had never owned a car until they bought their first automobile in 1906.

perfect structure write 5 sentences telling what had MR. Bean Done during the video.
Mira el video luego, utilizando la estructura del pasado simple escriba 5 oraciones don exprese cosas que habían sido hechas por

Activity 5 (writing and drawing) since you were children mothers have accompanied you in different
situations, and they had done many thing in order to take care, kept safe, help, and protect you now you
must write a paragraph in which you tell some experiences in which Your mother or the person who

represents her had done something important for you. Make a drawing that represent what you wrote.
Desde que eran niños las madres los han acompañado en diferentes situaciones y han hecho muchas cosas para cuidarlos, mantenerlos
a salvo, ayudarlos y protegerlos, ahora debes escribir un párrafo en el que cuentes alguna experiencias en las que tu madre o la persona
que la representa había hecho algo importante por ti. Haz un dibujo que represente lo que escribiste.

Activity 6: Link the sentences using the connector "because" and the Past Perfect. Una las oraciones usando
el conector “Because” y el pasado perfecto.
