Traits/Behavior/Mannerism Explanation

I can still recall in my childhood days, particularly

when I was just 1 to 2 years old that my parents
keeps my hands clean because I always sucks it
Age 0-2 years old: then if they take my fingers from my mouth I will
- Thumb sucking cry loudly, and besides me having negative
- Cries easily behaviour as a child, my mother said to me that
- Affectionate when I was still a young, I am very affectionate
like I want to be carry by my parents, and I want
to be hug by them.

When I at the of age 2 to 7 years old, I can still

Age 2-7 years old remember that I was very spoiled kid that every
- Spoiled time I saw some toy that I like my parents brought
- Frisky it because if they don’t I will cry loudly, and
- Friendly because of me being a frisky child I stumble in a
- Curios concrete floor and had a wound in my left
- Naughty hands eyebrow and even until now there is a scar in my
- Pisses in bed eyebrow that I get for being a frisky. Playing is the
only thing that keeps in my mind in this age and
because of this I meet some friends that also like
the games that I like. As a child I that time I am so
curios of all the things that I saw and every time I
have the opportunity to touch or grab them, my
hands quickly grab that opportunity, and still now
I can still remember a part of my life that every
night I pisses myself in bed because I am scared of
going to the CR.
As far as I can recall, when I at the age of 7-11
Age 7-11 years old years old, I developed some traits and behaviours
like being a cooperative student. Way back in my
- Cooperative elementary days I always joins boyscout and
- Outgoing maybe because of the teaching in the scouting I
- Strong will of independence became mush more cooperative and as I joined
- Enjoys group activities scouting I build my friendship and I am so
- Competitive outgoing. In scouting I enjoy group activities like
playing thug-of-war, and other group activities we
do in the scouting. I grew as a competitive student
because of my classmates at that time, I joined
events and in scouting I have achievements. In this
time of my childhood even I was not capable of
doing thing like washing dishes, and some other
household choirs my parents don’t let me do it.

When I age 12 and until now, I can say that 80% of

Age 12 and above my personality has developed and the rest 20%
- Reliable still have the touch of my childhood traits and
- Sensible and rational behaviors. As I become mature in this age I
- Physically active noticed that I much more reliable for my parents,
- Capable siblings, and to others, as I can recall my father
- Insecure said to me “Son, you are a much more mature
now, and I assumed that you can take some
responsibility for your younger brother, especially
when my and your mother is at work.”. In this age
I am much sensible and rational because I have
knowledge of somethings, and stage of my life I
developed an interest in some physical activities
like sports particularly basketball, and badminton.
From what I’ve said that when I was at the age of
7-11 years old I have strong will of independence
even though I am not capable of doing things, but
when I age 12, until now I am capable of things,
like buying some things in a supermarket, can ride
jeepney alone, and some other things. As I
become mature in this stage I am also slowly
getting insecure because of the physical changes
and because of puberty I get insecure of myself,
like when I’m in a crow I keep heading down
because I don’t want everybody sees my pimples
in the face.
Connection to the Theory of Cognitive Development

The theory of cognitive development by a psychologist Jean Piaget, states that the there
is a “nature of knowledge” that a person developed and accumulated through experiences and
stages in life. Jean Piaget believes that childhood is a vital part of the person’s development.
From his theory there are basic components of the cognitive development. First, the
schemas/schemes that is the organization of knowledge that the person acquire from his
surroundings and experiences, and in the graphic organizer that I created from the age of 0-2
years old to the current me, I learned many things from the teaching in the school, from the
lessons that my parents and friends taught me all of this is. Next is the Adaptation, that
according to the theory of Piaget it is the processes that the person undergo to acquire
knowledge for his development, and divided into categories the assimilation and
accommodation that if I will relate to my experience is when I was at the age of 2-7 because of
my curiosity i learned things and objectives like what my mother is used example the lipstick
and powders, and through assimilation I learned that these two things are both make ups that
is used for the face. And the third component is the stages of the development. The first stage
is the sensorimotor that ages from a months old to 2 years old that is the learning of the child,
like how I learned to sucked my fingers from what I do when my mother breastfeeds me, and I
also learned and recognizes the faces of my parents. Second stage is the Preoperational from
age 2-7 years old. In this stage, I am curios of everything for the reason that my hands I active
like grabbing things that is new to me and scolded or being taught of the things. In my
experience I used to play hanger or combs as my swords but my mother told me that the
hanger is used to hang clothes and the combs for the hair. Next stage, the third is the Concrete
operations, from the age 7-11 years old. In this stage I’ve gained knowledge from my teachers
and parents. As far as I can remember when I was in this age my parents always telling me that
when we eat, before and after we go to bed we should pray to God, and in this stage I learn
how to cooperate that I learned in scouting. And the last stage is the Formal operations from
the age of 12 and above. This last stage is from when I was in 7th grade until now. I’ve acquire
enough information and knowledge in this stage, for example I learn already about how to
solve complicated math problems, and in this stage my parents taught me how to withdraw
money from a ATM machine, and paybills, and much more capable of doing things than other
stages that I passed.
