1. What kind of first aid is given to a person who has a


minor cut?

Ans. First aid given to a person for minor cuts and


wounds:

1. Wash small cuts & wounds with cool water.

2. Apply antiseptic lotion or cream.

3. If there is bleeding ,a properly tied bandage will


stop the flow of blood.

4. Do not allow dirt or flies to come in contact with


the wound as they might cause infection.

2. What will you do to avoid injury in the bathroom?

Ans. To avoid injury in the bathroom follow the safety


rules:

● Do not leave the soap bar on the floor; someone may


slip on it and get injured.
● Do not touch the electric switches with wet hands.
You may get an electric shock.
● After taking a bath, use a floor wiper to dry the
bathroom floor. Wet bathroom floors are very
slippery.

3.How can we stay safe inside our school?

Ans. We can remain safe inside our school by


following these safety rules:

● Do not run around in the class or in the corridors.


● Do not climb on chairs and desks. You may fall
down and hurt yourself and others.
● Do not run up and down the stairs.
● Always stay careful while working in the
laboratory.
● Never throw stationary objects such as pencils
or pens at each other; they can cause an iinjury..

4. Why do teachers tell us not to push each other


while playing?

Ans. Teachers tell us not to push each other while


playing so that we may not get hurt.

5.How can we give relief to a person who has been


bitten by an insect?

Ans. We can treat an insect bite by applying ice on


the sting or by pouring cold water over it. Application
of calamine lotion will also soothe the affected area.

6. What should people wear on their heads while


driving two wheelers? Why?

Ans. They should wear helmet on their heads so that


they are protected from any kind of external injury.

7.What do we call the person who is present at the


swimming pool and safeguards swimmers?

Ans. The person who is present at the swimming


pool and safeguards swimmers is called as a
lifeguard.
