II. Background
The client was married to Hector Sanchez and they had six children namely, Junior,
Emilia, Vicki, Gloria, Alejandro, and Carmen. Celia and Hector are nearly forty years married
and she has been in United States for almost twenty years. Celia’s family resides in Mexico and
she rarely communicate with them. Celia Sanchez is a devoted mother to her family, she cooks,
she takes care of their home and to her grandchildren that didn’t make her work outside home
neither knows how to drive. She has difficulty in comprehending other English languages that
hindrances her efforts to care for her family. And, to her wants to help her husband for their
financial needs was declined so she secretly goes to their church’s pantry for commodities.

The client is experiencing family conflict relating to financial problem and having a
difficulty in communicating with her family.

The client is experiencing financial problem and due to her lack of English proficiency
she could not effectively care her family.

The client is having a difficulty in sustaining the basic necessities in her family as she
was opposed by her husband to work. Also, due to lack of proficiency, she could not effectively
care for her family.

II. Background
The client is 58 years old, residing in United States, married to Celia and the father of their six
children, Junior, Emilia, Vicki, Gloria, Alejandro and Carmen, Joey’s grandfather and Roberto
Salazar’s uncle. In 1979, Hector came in the United States for an undocumented agricultural
worker along with his wife and his three little children. Then, he was encourage for the federal
amnesty program by the law and was given him a green card making him a permanent resident in
United States. He also applied on behalf of his wife and his three children. His three children
became citizen but he was not although he wanted it. Today, Hector was a laborer in a large
construction company but the company is experiencing economic crisis that anytime they will
fire their workers. His work is physically demanding and in dilemma of his health problems,
diabetes and high blood pressure that may limit his capacity to work. Hector thinks of his family
that he skips his meals regularly for them to have more but this will only worsen his diabetes.
There’s a program that is eligible for his family, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program
(SNAP) introduced by a social worker but he ignored it. He also tries to look for another job
opportunities but because of his health conditions and tired at the end of the day he can’t comply.
V. Recommendation
The client will be referred to PCSO medical assistance program.
