The paragraph that follows presents a different way of using the PEEL.

Also, note how signal

words are effectively used in the paragraph

Eggs are one of the most nutritious food in the world and there are many different ways to take
advantage of the nutrients they contain (Point). They can be boiled and eaten with toast
(Evidence 1). Hard boiled eggs are good for picnics or can be used for sandwiches or salads
(Explanation 1). Eggs can also be fried, poached or made into an omelet (Evidence 2). While
fried and poached eggs are commonly eaten at breakfast, an omelet provides a light and nour-
ishing meal at any time (Explanation 2). Interestingly, eggs can likewise be prepared in exotic
and sophisticated ways (Evidence 3). In some cultures, eggs can be curried; in some, they are
used in sauces such as mayonnaise and hollandaise sauce (Explanation 3). Finally, to give light-
ness and substance, eggs are usually added to cakes and pastries (Evidence 4). Egg whites can
be whipped into a meringue to add body to the cake while egg yolks are usually used to en-
hance the softness of pastries (Explanation 4). There are a few foods that are as nourishing and
versatile as eggs (Link).

Main Idea Benefit of globalization to countries

Evidence Explanation

perity

Cultural convergence Decreased cultural divergence
Conclusion Globalization’s positive effect on national borders, distance
and diversity

Globalization is the process of international integration based on interchange of world

views, products, ideas and cultures resulting to a global village where both developing
nations and developed nations exist together to mutually benefit each other. Perhaps the
most obvious benefit of globalization to the world is on the economy. Globalization
opened borders of countries to global trade boosting global economy and promoting
sustainable among people. Interestingly, globalization also contributed to the decrease in
unemployment especially in developing nations. This became possible because developed
countries outsource production to developing countries, creating job opportunities in the
latter. Furthermore, globalization enabled blending of different cultures, making cultural
convergence possible. Consequently, cultural divergence has decreased. So if we look at
it, globalization essentially shortened the virtual distance among countries, transcended
cultural borders and melted cultural diversity.
