INTRODUCTION:
The Philippine realm was blessed and born under a lucky star. This country of ours is
known for having an abundance of stunning beaches and gratifying delicious fruits.
The Philippines is abundant in natural resources. Its fertile land produces a variety of
products such as coconut, copra, banana, pineapples, sugar, gum, resins, and rubber.
Some of these agricultural crops are for export. Rice, which is the staple food of
Filipinos, is produced and cultivated, broadly, in the Central Plains of Luzon. Natural
resources are materials from the Earth that support life and meet people’s needs. Any
natural substance that humans use can be considered a natural resource. Oil, coal,
natural gas, metals, stone, and sand are natural resources. Other natural resources are
air, sunlight, soil, and water. Animals, birds, fish, and plants are natural resources as
well.

PROBLEM STATEMENT:
However, despite its astonishing and fascinating view, The Philippines also suffers
primary human-caused environmental degradation intensified by a high annual
population growth rate, including loss of agricultural lands, deforestation, soil erosion,
air, and water contamination, improper disposal of solid and toxic wastes, loss of coral
reefs, mismanagement, and abuse of coastal resources. Due to this intricacy and
interconnectedness, any activity that disturbs the natural balance of these components
affects the ecosystem. Anthropogenic activities top the list as numerous human actions
are affecting this balance.
Extracting, processing, and using natural resources can cause environmental problems
such as air, land, and water pollution; disruption or destruction of ecosystems; and a
decrease in biodiversity. For example, carbon dioxide – which is produced from burning
coal, oil, and natural gas (fossil fuels) – is a critical greenhouse gas. Greenhouse gases
absorb and retain heat from the sun.

WHAT ARE OUR AIMS, GOAL OR PLAN REGARDING THESE MATTERS?

There are several ways each of us can conserve natural resources at home
Reducing our consumption – Diminishing what we buy, buying products with less
packaging, reusing what we can, composting, and recycling – are one of the easiest
ways to protect and improve our environment.
These dilemmas are made by humans themselves for improving and developing
technologies and other industries However, we omitted our environmental state so,
what we can do now and in the future is to decrease, lessen, and manage the uses and
manipulation of natural resources.

PLAN, LAYOUT, AND PROGRAMS

Reduce, reuse, and recycle.

- Cut down on what you throw away. Follow the three "R's" to conserve natural
resources and landfill space.
Volunteer.
- Volunteer for cleanups in your community. You can get involved in protecting your
watershed, too.
Educate.
- When you further your own education, you can help others understand the
importance and value of our natural resources.
Conserve water.
- The less water you use, the less runoff and wastewater that eventually end up in the
ocean.
Choose sustainable.
- Learn how to make smart seafood choices at www.fishwatch.gov.
Shop wisely.
- Buy less plastic and bring a reusable shopping bag.
Use long-lasting light bulbs.
- Energy efficient light bulbs reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Also flip the light switch
off when you leave the room!
Plant a tree.
- Trees provide food and oxygen. They help save energy, clean the air, and help
combat climate change.
Don't send chemicals into our waterways.
- Choose non-toxic chemicals in the home and office.
Bike more.
- Drive less.
