Assessment Activity
Direction: Read the selection below and accomplish the tasks that follow.

One hot afternoon, Sir Toffie went to his backyard to plant monggo. In his seed
box, he found out that different seeds like monggo, pechay, eggplant, and
tomatoes were accidentally mixed because of the strong wind. He sieved the
mixed seeds and was able to get 4 ¾ scoops of monggo seeds. But he needs to
separate bad seeds from good seeds through visual inspection. After testing he is
able to collect 4 ¼ scoops of good seeds. Sir Toffie wanted to plant it in a seed
box. How many seed box can be used if each box needs ¼ scoop of monggo
seeds?

Tasks:
1. English- Look at the picture above and examine the setting of the
selection read by sharing/writing your observation in 2-3 sentences.

2. TLE- Share/write your ideas on why do we need visual inspection before


planting seeds.

3. MATH- Find the number of seed box needed by Sir Toffie


(Video record while solving/ Picture while solving the problem/ Write your
answer with solution)

4. SCIENCE- Make a mixture of 3 tbsp. of monggo seeds and one cup of


water. Observed what will happen to the monggo seeds. Then, make a
mixture of 3 tbsp. of salt and one cup of water. Observe what will happen
to the salt. (Explain in the video which is a solution from the two mixtures
and why it is considered a solution.)

5. MAPEH (Arts)- Based on the selection, make your own caricature


showing how Sir Toffie take care of the seedlings. ( Video record showing
your caricature/ Picture of you with your caricature/Hand drawn
caricature)
