INTERVIEW COMPLAINANT/VICTIM:

Upon arrival, R/O made contact with the complainant/victim, - and spoke with him
about the incident. advised on 06-26-16 he attended the Electric Forest Music Festival in
Rothbury, MI. At approximately 3:00 A.M., on 06-27-16, was leaving the festival and
attempting to enter the V.I.P. campground at the Forest Stage Goodlife Campground.
stated he was stopped by security at the campground and was asked to show his wristband for the
campground.

advised he was wearing the right wristband for the campground, but security asked him to
come with them to a separate location. asked the security guards why he needed to
accompany them, and they did not give him a reason. At this point, for unknown reasons,
was struck from behind by one of the security guards and knocked to the ground facedown. While on the
ground, one of the guards claimed that had swung his fist at him.
indicated that one guard held his neck down to the ground, two guards held both of his arms down, and one
guard was sitting on his legs. claimed the guard holding his neck down "choked" him to
the point of unconsciousness.

The next thing remembered was awakening in a medical tent on the festival premises and
the backpack he was wearing was missing along with the property inside. attempted to
identify the guards working at the festival through their security company, but was unsuccessful.
attempted to locate any incident reports created by the security guards at the festival, but
was also unsuccessful. did not know any of the names of the security guards and that all
four security guards were black male subjects in their early 20's. stated he would not be
able to identify the security guards.

returned to the festival on 06-27-16 at approximately 12:00 P.M. and located a couple of
MSP Troopers. attempted to obtain assistance from the Troopers, but
was advised they were enroute to a medical situation and could not assist him at that time.

attempted to contact the Rothbury Police Department several times to report the incident,
but was unsuccessful. spoke with a Trooper from the Hart or Rockford Post about the
incident, and he was advised to report the incident to his nearest state police post and have the incident
forwarded.

R/O asked several times if he had an argument with the guards or if he attempted to assault
them, he stated "No." R/O asked that the security guards attacked him without any kind of
provocation, he stated "Yes." stated he did not consume any alcohol or drugs while at the
festival and could not think of a reason why the security guards would have used any physical force on him.
