Second opening
 Test tube, 1 for sugar testing, 1 for protein testing, 1 for control, total: 3
 Medicine dropper 2
 Medicine cover
 Benedict solution
 Acetic acid
 Alcohol lamp
 Liquid soap for washing test tube
 2 test-tube holders
 Match
 Cotton balls for disinfecting materials 3 times, never return the open cotton balls
 Gloves
 Another paper lining for the alcohol lamp
 Waste receptacle
 Close the bag

Waste receptacle preparation


 Open the waste receptacle
 Then do not place in work are instead place it at the side

Alcohol lamp
 Wrap it in zip lock
 The cover should be upward

Then gloves
You can hold the wrap, since the purpose of gloving is to protect the nurse, since we are holding
a specimen

Light up the alcohol lamp


 When alcohol spill out, trapuha ha side with cotton then throw it at the waste receptacle
 Lighting up the lamp with alcohol should be away from the glove hands
Then we will be needing 5 ml of benedict solution
Normal color: Blue green
Place cover inverted
Away from area, pour 5ml
Then place it in a flat surface
Then put it heat the benedict, back and forth
*8 to 10 drops of urine
Face away from you
Results:
Blue = normal, no glucose found
Green or Yellow = Trace elements
Orange – Positive 3
Brick red – Positive 4, refer ha hospital for further assessment
Maximum of 3 to 5 minutes

Acetic Acid
Urine ha test tube, then boil urine
Stop heating it up pag nag boil, put 3 drops of acetic acids
Then wait for clamping
Results:
Clamping – Protein
Cloudiness

Linen – 20 by 24

Wound dressing done na pt na umuli na may samad, either post op, may open wound, open
