STORYLINE: In the first day of class, Darryl arrived at the PCU-D entrance gate and walked 8 m/sec E.

Then suddenly, he saw a beautiful girl, and he walked 10 m/sec 20° N of E near that girl's place. After
that, the girl saw her friends in the basketball court, and Darryl followed her 12 m/sec 40° E of N.
Unexpectedly, the girl collapsed because she was hit by a ball (a basketball). Then, our Superhero,
"Darryl", helped to carry her to the University Clinic, 16 m/sec 80° S of E. And that's how he met his girl.

Scale: 2 m/s = 1 cm/1 inch

Given:

V1= 8m/s E, V2= 10 m/s 20° N of E, V3= 12 m/s 40° E of N, V4=16 m/s 80° S of E

Solution #1

8 m/s 10 m/ s
2 m/ s
=4cm E
2m/ s
= 5 cm 20° N of E 12m/
2m/ s
s
= 6cm 40° E of N
16 m/s
2 m/ s
=8cm 80° S of E

Rv= 28 m/s -7° S of E
