FIRST CITY PROVIDENTIAL COLLEGE

Introduction:

The teaching-learning process is always characterized by the

creativity of the teacher. As pilot of the classroom educative flight, the

teacher chooses and design as specific strategies that suits to the

learners need and wants, to be creative teacher, consider the

individuality and differences or diversity of the learners in every learning

topic to be more meaningful.

Quality teaching is tending to necessarily to be student-centered,

stakeholder all over the world strive of quality education for children.

there is no need to define quality education so that can differentiate it

less-preferred education. there are many researcher and educators who

have debate that there are some school variables which influence the

student’s achievements in particular. According to Coleman (2003),

minimal role is play by the schools as far as student achievements is

concerned because it is independent to their background as well as

societal factors

Teaching strategies vary from one age group to another. None of

the method is the best. It depends on the learning style of the students.

Primary students take more interest in the activities performed in the

class. In the class exercises work the best for this age group. Visual and

auditory aids improve learning and performance. All the learners have

different learning style, whereas the problem lies in catering to all of

them with an effective teaching strategy. For secondary and tertiary

levels, lectures, projects, field work, group exercises, and peer teaching

are most suitable strategies to help them. Howard Gardner’s multiple

intelligence are also being considered and the integrated in the lesson

plans for improved learning of each and every student’s.

All teachers think that they can improve their teaching practices through

developing sound knowledge of content that needs and delivered (Hill

Statement of the Problem

This study aims to measure how effective the teaching strategies

to the student learning:

1. Analyze teaching strategies appropriate to the learners’ need.

2. Assess competencies that can help address the problem of

students in teaching strategies.

3. Evaluate the findings of the study to be utilized in the

enhancement of teaching strategies.

4. Propose ways, strategies or means on how to develop and

improve students’ learning skills.

Significance of the Study

The relevance of this study is to know more about the importance of

effectiveness of teaching strategies in developing the student learning of

Grade 7 here in First City Providential College. This will help the

following:

 For students who will be conducting researches too, this research

may serve as a reference and guide. This may give them ideas,

information and inferences to make their research even better.

They will be able to improve the ideas and make them even more

sustainable for the students like them.

 For teachers to make plans and activities that will address the

problems of students in effectiveness teaching strategies. The

teachers will be able to know the needed improvements in the

development of students’ skills.

 For researchers who happen to be future teachers to know and

find best solutions that will address the problems of students in

teaching strategies.

 For administrator/principal to analyze how their teachers teach

effectively in terms of lectures and class discussion.

Research Setting

The study will be conducted in First City Providential College

department. The researchers chose to conduct the survey in FCPC so that the

study will be done more easily as they also go in the same school. Moreover,

they will be able to focus and get reliable results.

Respondents of the Study

The researchers have chosen the Grade 7 students in the as the

respondents. The entire Grade 7 students will get to answer the survey form for

the better accumulation of response that could best address the study.

Data Gathering Procedures

16
LifelongEducation
FIRST CITY PROVIDENTIAL COLLEGE

The researchers have prepared a survey form that will be answered by

the respondents. The researchers will ask the advisers about the availability of

the Grade 7 students for them to conduct the survey.

Data Gathering Instruments

The researchers have prepared questionnaires for the respondents. The

following questions made by the researchers are all relevant to the topic being

studied for them to be able to get an accurate response. The questionnaires

consist of 10 questions addressing the topic.

Statistical Treatment:

The data will be gathered an organize manner subjected for

statistical treatment to ensure validity and reliability of result.
