FORKLIFT CHECKLIST

Forklifts are extremely useful but dangerous workplace vehicles. Operators shall be competent by education, experience, and skill to use it.

• Forklifts can be dangerous: they account for 25% of injuries at work.

• Forklift shall be checked by Forklift operator and supervisor before start of its daily use.
• Forklift operator shall possess forklift driving license and adequate experience.
• Forklift driver health checkup shall be completed, and his vision and hearing ability shall be in good condition.
• Forklift operator shall not allow to reach anyone within 6-meter distance of his operation. Forklift operators stop engine and talk to warehouse people.
• All PPE mentioned in checklist are mandatory for forklift operator
