Part 5: Write a minimum of 150-words for Each of the FOUR reflective writing tasks. There
is no maximum word limit for these three tasks.

Reflective Writing 1
Selecting one of the five traits, consider the following points for reflection:
 The difference between how you saw yourself before you took the test and how you
now see yourself after taking the test.
 What surprised you most and what you learnt about yourself and this particular trait.
 Thinking about the eight Mental Wealth competencies, how does this particular trait
relate to your strengths and weaknesses with regards to those competencies?
(Please Note: If you cannot remember how the big five personality traits correspond
to the eight Mental Wealth competencies, look back at slide 5 in the seminar PPT
for Week 7 to refresh your memory).
 Locate one specific past experience when one these weaknesses caused
interpersonal conflict, stress, discomfort or challenge in a professional context. Do
you have more clarity about that specific past experience after now knowing yourself
better? Give details.
 How can you strengthen some of your weaknesses in the Mental Wealth
competencies, in light of what you have learnt about yourself and this particular trait?

Trait – Extroversion
I have predicted 50% in extroversion because I easily interact with others. But the personality
test result indicates 86% in extroversion means I am assertive and sometimes enjoy working with
others. According to the mental wealth competency of community connection, I am strong in
building and maintaining a connection with people, as, I do prefer talking to anyone.
Furthermore, I am weak in physical intelligence skills. I am unable to understand myself in the
area of behaviour and attitude. This weakness is impacting my employability prospects because
self-understanding plays a significant role in career aspirations. After all, it helps the individual in
behavioural change and control.

In my working life, I like to work in a group, but the weakness of physical intelligence skills
caused distress and conflicts at the workplace due to a lack of self-confidence in responding to
the external environment. Thus, I need to overcome this weakness by working on building self-
awareness to uphold my employability prospects in achieving my career goals and objectives. As
I am active in building connections with others, so I can acquire feedbacks from peers and
improve my behaviour and attitude.

better? Give details.
 How can you strengthen some of your weaknesses in the Mental Wealth
competencies, in light of what you have learnt about yourself and this particular trait?

Trait- Agreeableness
As I expected that I can be 50% agreeableness, but I scored 46% which is quite close to my
expectations because I am quite compassionate and cooperative. I prefer cooperation and working
in a collaborative environment. I am also proud, because of my efficiency in work and job. With
reference to mental wealth competencies, I am efficient in social and emotional intelligence, which
is essential in regulating one’s own and other feelings. On the other hand, I am weak in engaging
with others that means I am lacking in industry connections. I need to build this skill by
collaborating and developing networks with business persons to achieve efficiency in the
marketing field.
As per my past working experiences, I always control and regulate my emotions at the workplace
for being strong and rigid during work. Also, I am unable to engage with others and my team lead
always thinks that I am not cooperative, but I like to work in a collaborative environment. Thus, I
need to address this weakness by building team management, people management and team
working skills. I need to start getting engage with peers so that I can improve my nature and
become more cooperative and compassionate.

Trait- Openness to experience

Before the test, I expect to be scored around 70% in openness, because I am an imaginative and
open-minded personality. As I scored 65% in openness to experience and this is quite similar to my
prediction. According to this, I am experimental and prefer creativity in work. I like to be an
imaginative and conceptual problem-solver because I always consider practical implications during
problem-solving and decision making. As per mental wealth competencies, I am inefficient in
resolving problems and making sound judgments that are relevant to cognitive intelligence. On the
other hand, I am creative and innovative in related to entrepreneurial abilities.
According to my past experiences, I always participated in a creative discussion in the marketing
field, instead of critical discussion and technical problem-solving decisions for strategic planning.
During a creative discussion on marketing strategies, I always provide innovative ideas on
marketing tactics. Hence, I am high in openness which can be the reason for being imaginative,
creative thinker, and experimental. Nonetheless, I need to build critical thinking abilities by active
listening, participating in brainstorming sessions, decision making in strategic planning and
development and improving my knowledge by case study analysis and research study.
