#1072 Gathering Song#1072 “Thy Word”
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path,
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
When I feel afraid, think I’ve lost my way,
Still you’re there right beside me,
And nothing will I fear, as long as you are near,
Please be near me to the end,
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path,
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path,
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

God, who guides us so that we can greet whatever comes with inner
strength, you anticipate our need with a ready presence. With your power
at work in us, we can do more than we thought possible. We give you
#464 thanks, O God, for inner strength. Amen.

Tawnia *Prayer of Brokenness & Reconciliation

In the midst of a broken world and broken lives, we gather together to be touched by the
divine, to be healed and made whole. Let us pray together:
We are limited in our capacity to comprehend and know the
breadth, the length, the height, and the depth of Christ’s love. Teach
us and show us your way, O God, so we might grow daily in the
fullness of your love. Amen.
God hears our prayers, and gives us the opportunity to be restored to new life with
Christ. Praise be to God!

Tawnia Reading and Proclamation of the Word — Ephesians 3:14-21

Let us pray, O Lord our God, your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.
Give us grace to receive your truth in faith and love, that we may be obedient to your will
and live always for your glory; through Jesus Christ our Savior.
Our reading, today, is from the book of Ephesians. Listen, and hear the Word.
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father from whom every family in
heaven and on earth takes its name. I pray that, according to the riches of his
glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with
power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through
faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love. I pray that you may have
the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length
and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses
knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to
him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far
more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in
Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Leader: This is the Word of the Lord.
People: Thanks be to God.

#1004 Hymn #1004 “As We Seek Your Face”

As we seek your face, may we know your heart,
Feel your presence, acceptance,
As we seek your face.
At your feet we fall, Sov’reign Lord.
We cry holy, holy, at your feet we fall.
As we seek your face, may we know your heart,
Feel your presence, acceptance,
As we seek your face.

Tawnia Morning Prayers

Prayers of the People
Lord’s Prayer—together
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom
come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day
our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine
#106 is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
With gladness, let us present the offering of our life and labor to the Lord. The earth is the
Lord’s and all that is in it, the world and those who live in it.

Offertory #106 “Alleluia, Alleluia, Give Thanks”

abundance and sharing even your own Son with us. Thank you for the opportunity to
be part of your work of peace and redemption in this world. We ask that you receive

Amen.
