The NVSU College of Engineering – Bayombong Campus envisions itself to be the best at serving
society by creating engineering knowledge and educating engineers for dynamic and global careers
through relevant educational innovation, research, extension, and entrepreneurship.
It exists to serve the local community, the country, and the world by providing:
1. inclusive and accessible undergraduate and graduate education for a diverse workforce in
engineering;
2. research leading to the dissemination of knowledge and the creation of new economic
opportunities;
3. outreach that encourages all citizens to consider education and careers in engineering, and;
4. technical leadership, guidance and support to industry and government.
Within a few years after graduation, graduates of the BSCE Program of NVSU are expected:
1. to achieve the capability to design, build, maintain, or improve, civil engineering-based
systems in the context of environmental, economic, and societal requirements;
2. to attain competencies necessary to serve the community in support of the national, regional,
and local development plans;
3. to participate in the generation of new knowledge, ideas, and products through involvement
in meaningful research and development projects;
4. to gain trust and confidence of others as effective and ethical members or leaders in multi-
disciplinary and multi-cultural teams, and;
5. to engage in life-long learning for professional growth.
At the time of graduation, the graduates of the BSCE Program must have attained the ability to:
1. apply knowledge of mathematics and science to solve complex civil engineering problems;
2. design and conduct experiments, as well as analyze and interpret data;
3. design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints, in
accordance with standards;
4. function in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams;
5. identify, formulate, and solve complex civil engineering problems;
6. understand professional and ethical responsibility;
7. communicate effectively civil engineering activities with the engineering community and with
society at large;
8. understand the impact of civil engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and
societal context;
9. recognize the need for, and engage in life-long learning;
10. know contemporary issues;
11. use techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for civil engineering practice;
12. know and understand engineering and management principles as a member and leader of a
team, and to manage projects in a multi-disciplinary environment;
13. understand at least one specialized field of civil engineering practice.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
1. Attendance; Representative per class will check the attendance every class time. Always refer
to your class representative.
3. Submission of assignments/problem sets (complete with passing score) on or before the due
date is encouraged. (Late submission please refer from the General Guidelines for Flexible
Learning- the video presentation).

ASSIGNMENT 0: ORIENTATION AND COURSE SUBJECT INTRODUTION
1. Discuss how can you perform NVSU VGMOs based on your chosen course? and during the
pandemic which face to face class is limited or closed? (8-10 sentences)
2. If you will attain BSCE Program Educational Objectives and Outcomes, what and who are you
after ten years?
