1. Introduction

We all know that the society we live in today is evolving every day and it is through social media.
People today, especially young people or millennials, are very passionate about social media and we get
information about what is happening today in our world through social media. So are people today,
good at imitating clothes, gestures, and other things that are possible and we cannot deny the fact that
we have an appetite to imitate, because people today often think that somehow, we will look more cool
and beautiful. Ang the people we usually imitate are the famous people and for their dress themselves
seem very presentable to look at. An example of this is celebrities (kpop, celebrities, foreigners, etc), we
see beautiful in their everyday clothes and that is why they get so much attention from their fans and
continued idol. Celebrities will use their clothes as their essential weapons to drive their fans crazy with
them. Celebrities have high incomes and they can buy tons of clothes they want to get, and then in turn
their fans will they will be imitated to show support and appreciation for their idol. The fashion industry
will use this leverage to gain revenue and their tactics will to produce any dress with a unique style of
style, but let’s face it that fashion is seasonal and eventually gets old or out of fashion. The Fashion
Industry uses fast fashion to have a everyday style to be displayed in their stores the preferred clothing
of the citizens.

of this topic and to advance about the disadvantages of fast trends.

II. Purpose
The purpose of this study is to lessen the pressure of our environment because the clothing and
textile are the second polluter to the environment (EDGE).

Ukay-ukay stores have become popular stores in the Philippines.The word "Ukay" is derived from
the word "halukay" which means "to dig"(Rappler, 2019.) Ukay-ukay shops are a Filipino version of thrift
stores; places where the clothes are second hand. and all consumers have to search or choose among
the chaotic pile of clothes.The ukay-ukay culture is one of the main ways to upcycle our clothes.
Upcycling is a particular form of a recycled material. This will encourage consumers to stay away from
impose buying from fast fashion retailers. And according to Greenpeace, (2016) “95% of discarded
clothes can messed up. And fashion trends are coming in waves, so stay with that 10 year old tshirt. You
can wear it again in 20 years. "

III. Goals and Objectives

The goal of this project aim to achieve in giving solution to the hazard and disadvantages of Fast
Fashion. Making humans conscious about negative outcomes of this fast fashion and destroys the stain
used fast fashion is cooler than it looks. Doing this project is to get them attention from different regions
up be aware and assist to fight fast fashion. One is also upcycling clothing of methods to lessen the
stress and burden on our environment because Imagine when making a pair of jeans, it takes
approximately 1,800 gallons. This is more water than we can drink from as much as five years.

Methodology:

Partnership with stores (Ukay-ukayan) so that they are able to exchange their old supplied products
at a lower cost to gain profit For them to concur, we will let them know that the utilize of fast design is it

higher class.
