ICSM JHS EPP 10 Quarter 1 Module 3: The Human Person: Unique yet Fundamentally Equal

This part of the module up to the last page includes activities and assessment tasks that you need to
accomplish. The rest of the previous pages (Parts I-IV) shall remain with you and serve as lecture notes.

Answer pages 3-7 and save them with a file name: EPP10_M3_FULLNAME. Submit the file to your
subject teacher through the subject’s MS Teams on or before November 6, 2021.

V. Activities
WEEK 1
A. Directions: If a mother has four children, whose ages are one, three, six, and ten, how
should she divide the whole pizza into four to be fair to all of them? Label each share for her children
according to age. Use a pen (of different colors) to demonstrate the distribution. Then, answer the
questions that follow. Limit each your answer to 3-4 sentences only. (5 pts.)
Note: This will be done during our online class – Tuesday.

What is your basis for dividing the pizza into four slices with the
same or different sizes? Which does it show – equality or equity?

B. Directions: Proceed to your respective breakout rooms and discuss among the group the topic given.
Also, assign members who will do the following tasks:

 The Director – leads the group during discussion and wraps up what has been discussed
 The Speaker(s) – shares to the large group their group’s output
 The Scribe – records all the information that the group decides upon
 The Timekeeper – keeps track of time and reminds the group to stay on task
 The Messenger – sends the output to the Teacher through MS Team chat

Directions: After doing the group activity, answer with all honesty the Peer Evaluation form found on
the next page by following the instructions.

column. For each person, indicate the extent to which you agree with the statement on the left (column
1), using a scale of 1-4 (1=strongly disagree; 2=disagree; 3=agree; 4=strongly agree). Total the numbers
in each column.

Engaging Scenario: Being a barangay councilor who advocates life - its importance and sanctity, you
want to raise awareness among community members of legal age about one (1) current issue that
concerns life (conscience- or human dignity-related issue) by discussing its cause and proposing a
concrete step or program that can be done to resolve and eradicate the said problem. The article you
will produce shall be evaluated by the barangay captain and fellow councilors. Use the rubric below as
your guide.
