IMPORTANT...X-RAY PROTECTION
X-ray equipment if not properly used may cause injury. Accordingly, the instructions herein
contained should be thoroughly read and understood by everyone who will use the equipment
before you attempt to place this equipment in operation. The General Electric Company, Medical
Systems Group, will be glad to assist and cooperate in placing this equipment in use.
Although this apparatus incorporates a high degree of protection against x-radiation other than the
useful beam, no practical design of equipment can provide complete protection. Nor can any
practical design compel the operator to take adequate precautions to prevent the possibility of any
persons carelessly exposing themselves or others to radiation.
It is important that anyone having anything to do with x-radiation be properly trained and fully
acquainted with the recommendations of the National Council on Radiation Protection and
Measurements as published in NCRP Reports available from NCRP Publications, 7910 Woodmont
Avenue, Room 1016, Bethesda, Maryland 20814, and of the International Commission on
Radiation Protection, and take adequate steps to protect against injury.

Overview
This instruction describes the hardware installation procedure.

2.1 EXISTING MONITOR REMOVAL (IF THERE IS A MONITOR TO BE

PROCEDURE
Understand and follow the Safety Guidelines Manual.
1.) Turn OFF the Operator Console main power.
2.) Turn OFF the breaker in the Power Distribution Box (hospital supply).
3.) Remove the OC Rear Cover.
4.) Disconnect the Signal and Power cables connected from the monitor to the OC.
5.) Remove the monitor from the OC (or OC table).
Note: For each LCD Monitor we supply two different kinds of Signal Cables. Check the ports of the
Display Board before connecting the Signal Cables. Select proper Signal Cable to connect
the proper port on the LCD according to different ports of the Display Board.

a.) Connect the Power cable to the AC Power Supply Assy (or AC Box).
b.) Reinstall the Rear Cover.
c.) Connect the signal cable to the VSPL (Video Board).
d.) Reinstall the Rear Connector Cover.

3.) Press "<" or ">" to select Lock Mode and press "Enter".

4.) Press "<" or ">" to select Lock Mode and press "Enter" will save the setting value
automatically.

Press left key "<" until display shows the message "Key unlocked", lock function will be remove.
Note: When you in Mode 1 or Mode 2 and unlock after 15 minutes not adjustment any function, OSD
function will be lock automatically. Only setting in "Off" mode doesn't have this appearance.
LB Mode BL Mode
• User Mode: User identify the standard display operation.
• DICOM Mode: System set the DICOM standard operation.
• CL Mode: To imitate the display output color temperature of about 6500k.
• BL Mode: To imitate the display output color temperature of about 9300k.
• LB Mode: To imitate the operation for whitelight lampbox.
• Native: Default.
• Gamma 1.8: The display state is 1.8 for gamma value.
• Gamma 2.0: The display state is 2.0 for gamma value.
• Gamma 2.2: The display state is 2.2 for gamma value.
• DICOM: The display state is standard for DICOM.
• User: The display state is by oneself set for gamma value.

2.3.6 Contrast and Brightness Minor Adjustment
1.) Select Service → Image Quality → Install SMPTE image (To install the SMPTE image on
the system.)
2.) Click on ImageWorks
6.) Adjust Contrast and Brightness to the level an user desires so that a slight (not clear)
distinction should be made between 0% and 5% and between 95% and 100%.

Function Check
1.) Perform Power On Self Test:
a.) Switch ON the main switch of the OC.
The test progress information is displayed on the monitor.
b.) Verify that the system starts up normally.
2.) Perform the normal test scannings and check that the images are normal.

WARNING This product consists of devices that may contain mercury, which must be recycled
or disposed of in accordance with local, state, or country laws. (Within this system,
the backlight lamps in the monitor display contain mercury.)
