NARRATIVE REPORT ON SCHOOL VALUES FORMATION PROGRAM

It is believed that the word of God is living and active in our lives. God’s words give life to those
who are otherwise considered spiritually dead. The Holy Spirit changes us through the words of God
and gives us true life.

However, most of our school children are not knowledgeable enough or lack of knowledge
about the words of God and the importance of the presence of God in our lives in everything we do.
We have seen and observed that most of our children lack respect to others, displays bad behaviors
and always uttered bad words. Because of these observations, the school come up with a plan of
giving the students time to listen the words of God as the school’s perception that the words of God
changes everything including us, people of God. The school allots 1 hour in a week for this program
and this will be done every Thursday, 1:00 – 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon.

The sharing of the words of God was done by the volunteer graduating Theology students
who are practicing their profession being pastors of their religion. Every time they give lectures and
different activities to the students, we have observed that they are really knowledgeable and really
have the capacity to teach or share the words of God. We have also observed that the students are
really enjoying listening bible stories, memorizing bible verse, singing and participating other
activities given to them. Aside from that, we have really witness some positive or good changes in the
behavior and attitudes of the students just like singing the religious song they learned and reminding
others and correcting their classmates every time their classmates commit mistakes or do and say
something bad. The saying of bad words and bullies were lessened. These show that the students
were enlightened holistically and it implicates that the plan or goal of the school in giving this one hour
in a week activity was really a successful one.
