NARRATIVE REPORT ON DTIS ANTI-BULLYING

POLICY

DTIS believes that its pupils and students have the right to learn in a
supportive, caring and safe environment without fear of being bullied, have the
right to survive, to be safe, to belong, to be heard, to receive adequate care and
to grow up in a protective environment.

The school also believes that it is better to take action before harm occurs,
so it crafted a clear anti-bullying policy of the school, where it is made clear that
bullying is a form of anti-social behavior. It is wrong and will not be tolerated

Bullying affects everyone, not just the bullies and the victims but also those
other children who witness the incidents, and less aggressive pupils or students
can be drawn in by group pressure. Bullying is not necessary part of growing up,
and it rarely sorts itself out. However it is clear that hurtful jokes, insults,
intimidating/ threatening behavior, written abuse and violence are found in our
society. No pupil or student should have to accept this type of behavior. School
should protect them from abuse, maltreatment and exploitation. Prevent
anything from harming their health or development. Ensure they can grow up
under safe and effective care. Take action to ensure they have the best outcomes
in life. It is important therefore that the school has a clear written policy to
promote this belief, where both pupils and parents/guardians are fully aware that
any bullying complaints will be dealt with firmly, fairly and promptly.
All schools contain some numbers of pupils with the potential for bullying
behavior. If a school is well disciplined and organized, it can minimize the
occurrence of bullying. When schools and communities work together to embrace
policies that promote safe and child-friendly environment, we can invest more in
every child and create the future we all deserve. In the other aspect, it doesn't
help that some students quit as a result of bullying. Additionally, bullying leads to
problems at home and may weigh on a person's mental health

Hence prevention of maltreatment is important because abuse and neglect

can lead to negative consequences such as depression, developmental delays,
and risk of developing substance abuse during adulthood DTIS is persistent
implement the anti- bullying policy religiously since school year 2018 -2019
onwards.
