Social Science- is the study of society and the manner in which people behave and influence the
world around us.

Applied Social Science- is a branch of study concerned with the using and adapting abstract
principles and theory, which were derived from the various disciplines and in connection with
concrete problems, especially with utilitarian aim.
The similarities between Applied Social Science and Pure Social Science:
1. Based on scientific research
2. Have contribution to civilizations
3. Necessary to human life
4. Been done with a scientific methodology
5. Deals with the institutions, functioning of human society, and interpersonal relationships of
an individual member of the society
The difference between Applied Social Science and Pure Social Science:
