The Teaching Method use by The English Teacher in My Class

Based on the method or strategy of teaching, English lecturers in my class can be grouped into 4
groups. First, a discussion teaching system. The lecturer distributes groups and each group is given the
task of making a paper and ppt for the presentation of the next meeting with via zoom or gmeet, this
method is used by Miss Khairat, Mom Luly, Miss Honesty, and Mom Martin. Second, method used is the
lecturers provide material the day before teaching, where the material will be discussed together using via
zoom or google classroom tomorrow during the course hours, lecturers who use this method will usually
give individual assignments after the course hours are over, this method is used by Mr. Hadeli, sir Besral,
and sir Nofel. Third, Lecturers provide material during class hours, the discussion takes place via
WhatsApp, then the lecturer gives individual assignments that are stored in private files first, this method
is usually done by Mr. Hidayat. And the last there are lecturers who explain the material via zoom and
YouTube. When the teaching method on YouTube is used, all teaching and learning activities are carried
out on YouTube, starting from absences, questions and answers, etc. that are submitted in the comments
column. Each lecturer has his own method of teaching, and the method chosen by the lecturer is the best
method for the course itself.

the 5 skills first before being said to be skilled in speaking.

Student’s Speaking Skills

Students can be said to be skilled in speaking if they have 5 skills. These skills as a measure of
how skilled students are in speaking. First, is skills in pronunciation, students cannot be said to be skilled
in speaking before their pronunciation is easy to understand and understand by many people, where they
can say something without making other people confused and immediately respond to what they say. The
second is skills in grammar. Students need to pay attention to good grammar when speaking because
mistakes in grammar will change the meaning of something we are going to convey. Third vocabulary
skills, students who know a lot of vocabulary and understand the vocabulary will have the ability to
speak, where he can speak fluently with interlocutor in many ways so that the interlocutor can understand
what he is saying and also students who understand a lot of vocabulary will quickly understand what is
being said or information that other people have said to him. Fourth, fluency in speaking. Fluency is also
the most important thing for students to be skilled in speaking, where students who are fluent in speaking
will be very clearly heard by the interlocutor, and his speech will not make the other person confused or
doubtful. Lastly in understanding, understanding also one of the most important skills in speaking skills,
students must understand what he is going to say, and what he is talking about, so that the other person
does not hesitate and is confused about what he is saying. The 5 skills are tied to each other, so that's why
students must have the 5 skills first before being said to be skilled in speaking.
