I am Noora , a Qatari applicant . Keen to be pursue education at your respected university .where I can be
contribute and obtain knowledge.I have constantly had an extensive interest in design in general; ever since
studying it briefly during my arts courses in school , and collected a vast amount of understanding in the field. I
think my versatility in developing solutions for proposals of any sort , and my coherent manner of communicating
these solutions would suggest I would be well suited to pursue my degree at your respected university , in interior
design as I believe it is a very interesting subject to pursue and could be very rewarding for a hard working and
creative person such as myself. I also think my enthusiasm towards the subject would make the transition much
easier. My career goals can be summarized in one sentence; to gather the maximum knowledge required, to be
able to serve and support the future vision of my country, Qatar. Aiming to learn new ways of expressing my ideas

from my imagination to reality by developing my skills and crystallize my talents through practice.

Growing up in a family of artists I was inspired and encouraged to join VCU Qatar from all members of my family
even though they are in different design fields; my mother is an art teacher as a profession, my aunt is an
architect, my other aunt is a freelance artist , my father owns a design office and my uncle is Ahmed Al-maadheed
; a well known Qatari artist, he gained popularity for his famous painting “Tamim Al-Majd” during the blockade in
2017.

I was always interested in developing design ideas and to materialise those ideas into practical design skills such
as ;(sketching,painting,sculpture designing , model making and computer aided design software ). In 2020 I was
selected amongst 3 students during my 11th grade to join an activity held by QMA-artists residents but

unfortunately it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

To me I believe we build and construct our education in stages of our lives , and from time to time we gain skills
from learning and practicing. To me education comes ahead from everything else , though I have a lot of very
good skills in arts, because combining design talents with fine education obtain or achieve success in the fields of
art and design, because a good designer is also a good thinker.
