Field studies have been conducted by public and private universities offering teacher education

programs in the country to gain meaningful insight into the real learning environment and to gain a
deep understanding and appreciation of future practical experience as well as the teaching
profession. I believe that the best way to become an effective teacher for youngsters is to expend a
lot of time in real classrooms. These “field experiences” are an essential part of our program at all
levels.

Therefore, the students of CSU Andrews College of Teacher Education are very fortunate to
have university officials and field studies professors who tirelessly went out of their way to make
this field studies deployment possible amid the pandemic. And it is also fair that we acknowledge
and treat the school with kindness, which welcomed us with great affection and willingly
participated in our journey and success as teachers-in-training.

With that, I welcome you with our today’s affair, the Meet and Greet of the FS students from
CSU Andrews and the Principal, Faculty and staff of the Tuguegarao City Science High school
cum Field Study Orientation.
I'm Japheth Gomer Talattad, a 4th year Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English, and
I'll be your emcee for the day, welcoming you with an exquisite morning!

PRAYER

To officially start this momentous occasion, may I ask everyone to bow their heads and feel the
presence of the Lord as we invoke the presence of our Almighty God through a prayer to be led to
by Ms. Angelica Pattaguan, a 4th year BSEd English student.

PRESENTATION OF THE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

The field study would never be possible without the willingness of the cooperating school to
participate or be one of the schools in which FS students will be deployed. And to introduce
ourselves to the welcoming and determined principal of one of our cooperating schools, Gosi
National High School, we all salute the dedicated FS teacher from the CTE department, Dr. Toni
Labrusca.

PRESENTATION OF RESOURCE TEACHERS

Resource teachers play a very important role in field study courses. They serve as a guide and
mentor for students on their way through their field study courses. May we then welcome the
adorable, nurturing and dynamic principal of the Tuguegarao City Science High School, Mrs.
Carmen A. Acain, to introduce the resource teachers.

PRESENTATION OF FS PROFESSORS AND STUDENTS

Since the beginning of the pandemic, we as teachers-in-training have been wondering how we
will be deployed. What will our internship be like and questions about our work? It is good that the
faculty and staff of the teacher training school have developed a plan that is also possible in
the event of a pandemic. To imagine the heads behind the success of the mission and, of course,
the mentees of our resource teachers, we shake hands with the father of English majors, El
Haciendero, Dr. Chelito A. Malamug

CSU FS IMPLEMENTATION AND ROLE OF RESOURCE TEACHERS

The above field study courses are very different than the ones we currently have. Since there are
higher restrictions and community quarantine, Facetoface is somewhat impossible to configure.
So that we know the specifics of conducting field studies and the role of resource teachers, we
are allowed to give the floor to one of the most requested authors of books on secondary
education and vocational training, the virtuoso Dr. Antonio I Tamayao

ORIENTATION ON THE SCHOOL POLICIES

eachers-in-training must learn the value of attention, especially when deployed off campus. It is
imperative that these teachers know the school policy of the school to which they will be
assigned. In order to be guided by the guidelines of the Scientific Baccalaureate of the city of
Tuguegarao, once again we welcome the director, Mrs. Carmen A. Acain.

To be used in any particular institution, it must adapt to the new environment with which it will
be faced. You need to meet new people and learn new things outside of the four walls of the
classroom in order to grow. It wouldn't be a walk in the park, but I think that as future teachers
we need to stand our ground and train ourselves to work gracefully under pressure. Again, this is
Jason T. Guzman and I pray for our success! Padayon, future teachers!
