BACKGROUND
One of the needs and supports in facing the level of competition in health
human resources in the national and international job market is the ability and
mastery of foreign languages, especially English. To achieve these abilities and
mastery, student competency development is needed to be carried out
continuously. One of the efforts that can be done to improve student
competence can be done through a competition event. This competition is
expected to increase the expected motivation, knowledge, hard skills, and soft
skills. Along with the new normal era during the Covid-19 pandemic,
competition activities should be carried out while still implementing health
protocols.
The Health Polytechnic Ministry of Health Yogyakarta or as referred as
Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta which is under the auspices of the Ministry of
Health Republic of Indonesia seeks to realize its long-term vision of "Excellent,
Cultured, and Global". For this reason, this work program will provide facilities
for students around the world to improve their abilities and capacities at the
international level through the International Health Student Conference (IHSC).
The IHSC competition is conducted online and is a series of webinars on
“Global Health Tourism and Education in the Pandemic Era”. The competition
in the IHSC is the first international scale competition organized by Poltekkes
Kemenkes Yogyakarta. The contest items in IHSC are Call for Paper and
Poster, Speech Contest, Scientific Article, and Vlog which will be held on
November 1st-15th, 2021, and the Grand Final will be held on November 21 st,
2021.
In order to provide direction for the competition and the rules, this IHSC
Guidebook has been prepared. This guidebook contains the rules for the Call
For Paper and Poster, Speech Contest, Scientific Article, and Vlog competition
and the mechanism for conducting online competitions. The rules and system
of this competition in the IHSC guide are expected to reflect the characteristics
of the competition carried out by Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta, namely the
rules and competition systems created as a result of joint thought and
discussion by the committee, in accordance with the competencies of students
who want to be developed.
B. PURPOSE
1. Strengthen unity and integrity between countries, and building
togetherness and kinship among students around the world.
2. Cultivate interest in foreign languages, especially English, sportsmanship
spirit, critical thinking and the value of competitiveness of students around
the world.
3. Develop student’s achievement around the world.

C. GENERAL TERM OF COMPETITIONS

1. IHSC Contest participants are active students from all universities around
the world.
2. Each participant is only allowed to participate in one category of the
competition.

A. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION

1. The competition is individual and each participant may only submit a
maximum 1 (one) of work.
2. The speech has to be one take and original with the participant.
3. Speech’s title is freely developed by participants but has to be in line with
the topic of IHSC 2021 which is “Edu-Health Tourism in Pandemic Era”.
4. The speech is delivered using formal English.
5. Properties or visual aids are not permitted.
6. Participants are not allowed to bring the script.
7. The speech’s video rules:
a Maximum time limit: 6 minutes.
b Landscape
c High Quality (720p or 1080p)
d The videos do not violate the copyright of others, not contain
racist/discrimination content, violence and pornography.
e The videos belong to both the owner and Poltekkes Kemenkes
Yogyakarta. The committee is allowed to publicize them.
f The video is renamed using the form:

B. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SCRIPT

1. The title is written in Times New Roman font, 14 size, capital letters and
bold.
2. Name, student ID Number, departement, majoring and institution of the
author are written on the script.
3. The script is written in A4 paper, Times New Roman font, 12 size, 1.5 line
and paragraph, and justify.
4. The script’s file is saved as PDF form and renamed using the form:

C. CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION
1. The extent to which the content; (a) reflected a worthwhile topic, and (b)
provided quality modes of support materials, including analysis, reasoning
and factual information. Researched material must be verbally attributed
to a source(s).
2. The extent to which organizational structure (introduction, body,
conclusion) was both clear and effective.
3. The extent to which clear and compelling language as well as effective
stylistic devices were used appropriately.
4. The extent to which the vocal presentation was clear and appropriate to
the subject including such items as articulation, pronunciation, volume,
rate, pitch and voice quality.
5. The extent to which the physical presence contributed to the clarity and
effectiveness of the presentation, including such items as facial
expression, eye contact, gestures and bodily movement.
6. The decisions of the adjudicators are absolute and inviolable.

D. DISQUALIFICATION OF PARTICIPANT
1. The committee reserves the right to disqualify participants who are found
to have violated copyright and intellectual property.
2. The committee reserves the right to disqualify the participant's work which
is proven to have been published or contested.
3. The committee reserves the right to disqualify if participants take logos,
images, or any content that violates the copyrights of others without stating
the source.

people’s work

A. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION

1. The competition is individual and each participant may only submit a
maximum 1 (one) of work.
2. The scientific article must contain ideas related to the theme, that is “Edu-
Health Tourism in Pandemic Era”
3. Scientific articles can be the result of research or conceptual thinking.
4. Scientific articles must be original, never been published in any forum or
media before.
5. TScientific articles must follow the rules of scientific writing.
6. Terms for writing scientific articles are:
a Times New Roman font, 12 pt size, 1.5 spacing (except abstract)
b Contain abstract
c For articles on research results, contain: Introduction, Methods,
Results and Discussion, Closing, and References
7. The Scientific articles are sent in Word/PDF format with file name

A. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION

1. The competition is individual and each participant may only submit a
maximum 1 (one) of work.
2. Papers are written using formal English.
3. Participants are not allowed to take sources from various personal blogs.
4. The paper has to be original and new by the participant.
5. The paper must contain ideas related to the theme, that is “Edu-Health
Tourism in Pandemic Era”.
6. Papers are submitted in docx format.
7. The papers must contain at least 500 words (minimum).
8. The papers do not violate the copyright of others, not contain
racist/discrimination content, violence and pornography.
9. Participants must include the reference sources in the writing paper.
10. Selected participants will be chosen as finalists and proceed to grand final
round (paper presentation).

B. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE PAPER

1. The title is written in Times New Roman font, 14 size, capital letters and
bold.
2. The paper presentation is written in A4 paper, Times New Roman font, 12

A. PARTICIPANTS
1. Open for Indonesian university students and university students from
outside Indonesia, both individuals or groups (maximum member 3)
2. Participants are able to register by completing their personal data form
and originality statement which can be downloaded on the website.

B. TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Poster made with the theme “Edu-Health Tourism in Pandemic Era”.
2. Posters are original works that have never been published and entered
into a competition in/or similar competition.
3. Poster are submitted in JPG, JPEG, A4 size, maximum file size is 5MB,
include the author’s identity and then sent via a link that will be created
by the committee, with the file name:

4. Posters is written in English.
5. Deadline for submission of works will be determined later.
6. Assessment is carried out by the judges determined by the committee
7. Assessment includes:
a. Originality of work,
b. The suitability of the theme and technical elements,
c. Depth of theme exploration in conveying messages,
d. Innovation and artistic in visual display,
e. English usage
8. Selected participants will be choosen as finalists and proceed to grandfinal
round (poster presentation).

A. PARTICIPANT
1. Open for Indonesian university students and university students from
outside Indonesia, both individuals or groups (maximum member of the
group is 3 ).
2. If registering as a group, only the group leader fills the registration link as
a group representative.
3. Participants are able to register by completing their personal data form
on the website https://linktr.ee/IHSC2021

B. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION

1. Participants can only send 1 (one) video.
2. Videos must be original, NO elements of SARA, pornography, violence
and have never been included in other competitions.
3. Videos are prohibited to use support material (footage, music, etc) from
third parties without written permission from the original material owner.
The use of Free-to-use for footage / music must include the credit title in
the form of caption, for example: courtesy of
youtube.com/nationalgeographic
4. The judge has the right to disqualify and make further provisions if
violation of the terms and conditions is found.
5. Judges' decisions are absolute and cannot be contested.

C. TERMS AND CONDITION OF VIDEO

1. Videos have a minimum duration of 3 minutes and a maximum of 5
minutes with the theme "Edu-Health Tourism in Pandemic Era".
2. The content of the video can be made as creative as possible by
participants on condition that they must have a relationship with the
theme of the event, which is "Edu-Health Tourism in Pandemic Era".
3. The video’s name file is saved as MP4 form and renamed using the
form: IHSC 2021_Vlog_Name_Institution_Origin of Institution
D. CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION
1. The suitability of VLOG content with the theme "Edu-Health Tourism In
Pandemic Era" and the delivery of messages that are easily accepted
by committee and judge.
2. Cinematographic quality, musical and sound suitability, and plotting or
determining a clear storyline.
3. Originality of the video, content of the video and up to date (latest).
