Reading in Philippines History

The Philippines is a country with a lot of astounding scenery. For example, Siargao in Surigao del

Norte, the Mayon volcano of Albay, Boracay island in Aklan and so many places. The said country was

continuously colonized by other different countries such as Spain and America. Due to the long

association with Spain, Filipinos are emotional and passionate about life that seems more Latin than

Asian. From there, the application of religion was spread. Moreover, the people of the Philippines live

with the influences of the countries that have colonized them. The Spanish colony in the Philippines was

prosperous, especially for the top class; silk, porcelain, and lacquer are among the Chinese exports to

the Philippines each year. Re-exported to Mexico after. As time flies, many changes are happening in the

country. The Philippine economy has long been set apart from many Asian neighbors by its weaker

growth performance. The political crisis is very apparent, including bribery, dynasties, and a flawed

justice system, all of which lead to the people's general indigence. As a result, Filipinos try to make a

living outside of the nation to ease their financial difficulties. Even so, things like traditions, culture, and

beliefs are all still present inside them. Indeed, our history mirrors the Filipino spirit of faith, bravery,

and perseverance. Despite all-natural disasters, the Philippines' tropical climate and geography are the

primary reasons people continue to come. This video documentation is short yet a good presentation

with helpful information, where Filipinos can know more about the country and the people outside the

Philippines.
