1. How was science valued during Rizal's time?  7 How did they view it?

-Science was least valued during Rizal’s Time, they only view science as a required
subject to fulfill the much needed courses to attain a degree, wherein students became
like parrots to mimic what their professors laid out only. However, not for Rizal, which
he view and value science as a tool which is helpful to understand the creator.

2. How did Rizal relate science to the propaganda movement?  Can you specify which
essays were used in giving importance to science? 

-Rizal relates Science to the propaganda movement as an important thing in laying out
reforms, improving the state of the country and understanding current social reality.
-Indolence of the Filipinos and Philippines a Century Hence

Lesson 11 Activity

1. What kind of art practice did Rizap get involved in? 

-Rizal is a fan of visual arts, aside from his passion in writing he was said to be involved
in different art practice such as sculpting, carving, drawing and painting.

2. What significant piece of Rizal's work do yoy closely associate with him?  Why? 

-For me it was his novel, Noli Me Tangere, It is because, the same as Rizal, this novel
shows the undying love of a person for a country, which up to these future generations,
this novel continuously to touch the hearts of many, the same as how Rizal inspired us on
his acts on saving the country.

Lesson 12

1. Among the organizations mentioned in the module, what was the most significant? Why?

-The La Liga Filipina, because this ignited other revolutions, such as the Katipunan of
Bonificio and Mabini who wanted to carry on the aims of the organization, as they were
both part of this La Liga Filipina. I also think that its target or aims is what makes it the
most significant, which to sum it up it aims to unify the whole country regardless of
social strata and aims the advancement and protection of our country. But not just these,
the organization also promotes the encouragement of education, agriculture and
commerce, which I see as the most important thing we need Filipinos up to until this
contemporary era which I think, if this organization continued to exist and live by its
constitutions, a better Philippines is what we’ll have.
