TASK 1

“VOCAB RELATED TO MATHEMATICS LEARNING AND CLASS CONVERSATION”

1. Bilangan Imajiner : Imaginary Number

An imaginary number is a number that has the property ι 2=−1. These numbers are mostly
part of complex numbers. Apart from being part of complex numbers, imaginary numbers are
part of real numbers. In the main characteristic, this imaginary number (part) ι is obtained from
solving the quadratic equation. Imaginary values are often used in electrical engineering and
physics.

2. Pecahan : Fraction

a
A fraction, also known as a fraction, is a mathematical term that has the where b ≠ 0. In this
b
case, a is the numerator and b is the denominator. The essence of transactions in fractions is how
to simplify the numerator and denominator. Simplification of the numerator and denominator
will facilitate arithmetic operations so that it does not produce numbers that are too large but still
have the same value.

3. Odd : angka ganjil

In mathematics there is the term odd number. and this odd number we have heard very often
since elementary school. what exactly is an odd number? Odd numbers are all numbers that are
not multiples of 2 or are not divisible by 2. examples of odd numbers are 1,3,5,7,9... and others.

4. Even : angka genap

if there is an odd number then there is also an even number in mathematics. Even numbers
are the opposite of odd numbers themselves. An even number is a number that is a multiple of
two or is divisible by two. examples of even numbers are 2,4,6,8...and others. because from the
example it can be divided by two or have multiples of two.

5. Reciprocal : timbal balik

1
In mathematics, the multiplicative or reciprocal inverse of the number x , denoted by ∨x , is
x
a number which when multiplied by x gives the product identity, 1. The multiplication inverse of

a a
the fraction is . For the multiplication inverse of a real number, divide 1 by the number. For
b b

1
example, the reciprocal of 5 is one-fifth ( ∨0,2), and the reciprocal of 0.25 is 1 divided by 0.25,
5

1
or 4. The reciprocal function , the function f ( x ) which maps x to , is one of the simplest
x
examples of a function which is its own inverse (involution)

TASK 2

2. If a model is drawn to a scale of 1:40 (one to forty), and it size is five centimeters, what is
the actual measurement of the object.

Answer :
scale=1 :40
distance on themap=5 cm
true distance=5 × 40=200 cm
3. If you have to share with your sister a box of masker with one hundred in it and sharing
ratio is 3:4, how many each of you will get?

Answer : I get 57 maskers

4. The map has the scale of ten centimeters to one kilometers. What is the representative
fraction of the map?

Answer : 1:10.000 (one to ten thousand)

5. On the same map, if distance of two place is nine kilometers what is length will represent
