Issue: Opening of limited face to face classes

Introduction: Philippines education system was forced to adapt online blended learning since the covid-
19 pandemic arose, and also forced to banned the face to face classes due to the strict health protocols.
Thesis statement: The face to face classes must be postponed for the own safety of the students and
teachers, and also to reduce the increasing number of covid-19 cases.
Supporting statement for the topic:

 Face to face classes are much better than online blended learning, but it may put the health of the
students in risk.
   In the time of pandemic,even going out of our house would be very risky, conducting face to
face classes would be Harmful but beneficial at the same time.(Ben Davis, May 26,2021)
 With face to face learning, it ensures a better understanding, knowledge, and bond between
students, but it may lead into increasing number of covid-19 cases.
Counter argument:
- President Rodrigo Duterte has approve the pilot implementation of face to face classes in 100
public and 20 private schools that are located in minimal-risk areas based on the criteria set by the
Department of Health(DOH).
Supporting details to oppose counter argument:

 Even though there is low risk of covid-19 in the areas approved, there are still high possibility
that the virus could spread easily.
 Face to face classes was approved, but the problem is the facilities and equipments of school are
limited that cannot hold all the students and teachers.
 DepEd and government cannot monitor those schools and students if they are really following the
strict health protocols.
Summary:
- Even though face to face classes are much better than online bleanded learning, implementing the
face to face classes in amidst of pandemic is very risky. It may put the health of the teacher,
students, and staffs in danger. And due to the lack of facilities and excitement of the students to
each other, the health protocols may be violated and leads into increasing of the covid-19 cases.
