Reflective Essay: Service Journal

Everyday acts of service will create a habit of how to make friends and get along on campus and later in the business world. The students who get
along during university, become great assets to each other in their future businesses and work life, learning to see the good in others, which should be
genuine. Helping their parents, a friend, a teammate, someone lost on campus, visiting a sick friend, doing the best they can do in class team, finding
and recognizing teammate’s good qualities and abilities, such as kindness, caring, cooperating, working hard, being assertive, being able to listen,
being able to explain things, making a cup of tea for someone, talking to a new student to make them feel comfortable, eating out together to bring
closer friendships and understanding, helping someone new on Moodle, or zoom, helping to get new students to find the classrooms they need to go
to, being patient, understanding, studying hard, being a good scientist or artist, many day to day things that the students can do for one another are
acts of service to others.

At the same time not looking at people’s negative qualities, being kind to someone who is not kind to you. Not thinking negatively about someone
who may have wronged you and instead trying to find out how they can understand and help others. In Business world, being able to manage people
is the most difficult part of a job. Being able to get along with people you don’t know and are different to you. Having respect for the different people
and trying to see the unique qualities in each person is a very important ability to have in the business world.
