part of my goal to achieve that, I am pleased to write you this letter to

Education in Canada is currently ranked the best education globally in 2019,
therefore, it would be an honor if I can further my education in Canada.
Additionally, University of Toronto is one of the top universities globally and
one of the top three universities in Canada. Top students, globally, compete to
join UoT and since I’ve managed to achieve an acceptance letter in the
Bachelor’s of Economics programs, I am only one step away from being part
.of this outstanding institute
‫ لماذا انت الشخص‬I have always been interested in the science of economy, during school; I
‫ المناسب للبرنامج‬joined several seminars and conferences related to economy in my country,
Iraq, and I became keen on pursuing this field for my higher education.
Therefore, I choose Canada to further my education due to Canada’s
experience in the field. This will enable me to learn what’s required so I can
come back to my country and help in supporting my government and my
people.
‫ ماذا تريد ان تعمل‬Moreover, gaining a degree in economics from Canada will provide me with

believer in changing from within, and I have seen more than one person who
completed their education in Canada and they managed to find employment
with the government.

Application Letter

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter, my name is Mohammed Saleh Hussain and I am
from the republic of Chad. I come from a family of 5, my mother and father did an excellent job
in raising me and my two younger siblings. I am 19 years old and enjoy soccer and barbecuing. I
am pleased to write you this letter to apply for the African Students awards scholarship, it’s my
honour to apply and it’s my strong believe that I am a strong candidate for this scholarship.

My mother is a housewife and my father is a taxi driver, he works very hard and he try’s his best
every day to put food on the table and to provide for us. However, due to the current
economical climate and poverty, I am unable to enroll in any reputable university as I am
unable to pay the tuition fees. Therefore, this scholarship will help me in seeing my dreams
come true.

However, I do not believe I am a strong candidate for this position just because I need the
financial support, but rather due my academic achievements and my excellent community
work. I have graduated top of my class with an average grade of 95%, I have received awards in
mathematics and physics and I’m also the captain of my school’s soccer team. Furthermore, I
volunteer every weekend at a local orphanage, I help teach the kids how to play soccer and I
tutor them in math. Additionally, I made sure I read closely the requirements for this
scholarship and made sure I met all your requirements and I believe that I have exceeded them
academically.

This scholarship will enable me to get the education I need to help and support my country and
my community. I would love to help in building solar plants in my country and help in creating a
green sustainable energy source. And this scholarship is going to help me in achieving that.
Thank you for very much for reading my letter and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
