Overview:

This week was spent doing a series of meetings & shadowing my supervisor in

them. Many of them did not initially make sense to me as they were for previous projects that they

were closing however, we did have 3 meetings on the clean team project that I’ll be assisting with. I

also assisted in administrative duties and hashing out more of what I will be doing for the rest of the

semester which was mentioned in this weeks discussion. It was an interesting week because I was

meeting so many different people and getting a general sense of what the patient experiences

supervisor duty was like along with seeing how she manages her team through huddles and weekly

check-ins.I look forward to my time here & the continuation of Isabelle’s cleaning project.

Monday:

I came into the office then went to the Morning huddle at 9:15. Today was spent

shadowing Maria and seeing what her duties are as the director of patient experiences. Today we

walked around the hospital. Some more and attended a few meetings for me to get introduced to

some more people that I may come across during the projects I’ll be working on during my time

here.

Tuesday:

I came into the office then went to the Morning huddle at 9:15. Today we had a working

lunch where we did a zoom meeting with the board of directors of the hospital and other

individuals to do a COVID Town hall. I did A3 trainings today as well.

Wednesday:

I came into the office then went to the Morning huddle at 9:15. Today I did a meeting to

learn about the clean team projects and get caught up on what progress has been made on the

project since Isabelle left.

Thursday:



I came into the office then went to the Morning huddle at 9:15.Today we had a huddle

with the core team of the patient experiences office. Today I went to a training to learn how to

create patient complaint reports which was long but interesting because I got to help complete

one during the training. It was interesting to see the software they used and in dealing with this

complaint report we were able to come up with a solution.

Friday:

I came into the office then went to the Morning huddle at 9:15. Today I assisted Mrs.Julie

with some office tasks such as organizing patient files which took some time. I also went to a

meeting that took place for the clean team project to get some of the heads of different

departments input on the process and get them up to speed on some of the new procedures. This

summarizes my day.
