What is an ADVERB?
An adverb is a part of speech that simply acts

or functions to modify an adjective, a verb, or

another adverb. It answers the questions:

When? Where? How? To what extent? Simply,

it tells us how a thing is done, and when and

where it is done.
What is an ADVERB?

It describes how the action is performed. It

tells how much, how often, when and where

something is done.
Examples:

- Tell us how an action is being done.

An adverb of manner is an adverb that describes how

and in what way the action of a verb is carried out.

An adverb of manner answer the question "how?"

They normaly come after the verb or the direct object.

WHY ARE ADVERBS IMPORTANT?
Adverbs explain what the verb is doing. This helps us,

the readers, to picture or imagine how something was

done, when and where it happened.

When we are trying to explain something to another

person, we can easily tell them the exact details

using the adverbs.

It widens our vocabulary!
