II. INTRODUCTORY CONCEPT

In this learner’s packet you are going to learn some blended words and infer meanings of
unfamiliar blended words used in sentences.

BLENDED WORD is a type of compound word wherein some sounds


(phonemes) are blended rather than combined whole. For example,
The words web + log are combined to create the word “blog” instead of
weblog.

Here are some more examples of blended words.
