POINT-OF-SALE SYSTEM

Carousell is a Singaporean smartphone and web-based consumer to consumer and business to

consumer marketplace for buying and selling new and secondhand goods. Headquartered in Singapore,
it also operates in Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Australia,
New Zealand and Canada. Carousell is available on both iOS and Android devices. Carousell is primarily a
platform to allow buyers and sellers to connect through buying and selling, we provide the opportunity
for both our buyers and sellers to come to an agreement as to which payment method would be most
suitable for both parties Carousell makes money from brands and sellers advertising on its platform as
well as listing fees. Carousell operates on a marketplace business model in which it connects sellers with
buyers. As the intermediary, it then takes care of the product recommendation as well as payment
facilitation.

Shopee provides consumers an easy, secure, fast, and enjoyable online shopping experience
that is enjoyed by tens of millions of consumers daily. It offers a wide product assortment, supported by
integrated payments and seamless fulfilment. Shopee commits to helping brands and sellers succeed in
e-commerce, and is highly tailored for each market in which it operates. Shopee believes in the
transformative power of technology, and strives to connect buyers and sellers within one community
defined by three key attributes – Simple, Happy, and Together. Shopee makes money via marketplace
commissions, transaction fees, CPC advertising on its platform, fulfillment services, payment fees, as
well as commissions paid by restaurants. Shopee itself operates on a marketplace business model in
which it matches supply (sellers) with demand (customers). Shopee is a mobile-only platform that is also
highly concerned with social selling. It’s an open platform, which makes it easy to get started. Reviews
and ratings are very important factors for how to succeed on this platform, and it’s worth the effort in
becoming a Shopee Preferred Seller

FEATURES: Carousell

 Price Checking – We can go to Carousell website and it showing products and it’s price below, The
first step to buying on Carousell is as simple as saying “Hi, I’m interested!” Just imagine chatting with
your friends on Whatsapp or any other messaging app. In Carousell’s in-app chat, you can ask the
seller more questions about the item. You can also discuss the details of the transaction, such as
method of payment and meet-up location before making an offer. Once you’re ready to buy the
item:
- the chat with the seller, select “Make Offer”
-Then, select the price and enter the price agreed upon (if it’s not the stated price)
- “Make Offer”
-Making an offer is like entering into a formal deal with the seller. Once the seller has accepted your
offer, it is not in the spirit of Carousell to back out of a deal.
 Reward System – Carousell Rewards is a loyalty programme that officially, rewarding sellers for
spending Coins on Bumps (and Bump Scheduler), Spotlight, Listing Fees and/or Profile Promotions
with CoinsBack.

 Transaction Calculation – To buy an item, simply select the listing you’re interested in, followed by
the “Chat” button. In your chat conversation with a Carouseller, you can now start asking the seller
more questions about the item, request for more photos, and more on details of how the deal will
proceed! As Carousell is a marketplace for buyers and sellers to connect, users are free to decide on
the kind of arrangements that they prefer or suits them best. Here are a few suggestions on how to
carry out deals:
 Meet-up and cash on delivery
 Bank transfer and mailing

Once details of the deal have been confirmed and agreed upon both users, proceed to make an offer for
the item.

 Customer Profiling –
✘ Language or image that is hateful, offensive, violent, racist, sexual, indecent, threatening, abusive,
insulting, harassing, defamatory, libellous, deceptive, fraudulent, tortious, obscene, seditious,
political, profane, ethnically or otherwise objectionable
✘ Directing sales out of Carousell

For safety and security reasons, we discourage the sharing of personal contact information (such as
phone number, website, email, Facebook, and other personal information) in the profile description and
profile name.

The first step to setting up your account is choosing a username! Users are free to choose a username
that they fancy and we recommend you to choose one that you’ll use for a long time.

✘ Includes the word or the combination of words ‘Carousell’, ‘web’, ‘app’, ‘login’, ‘logon’, ‘signup’,
‘signin’, ‘carousel’ or similar to naming conventions used by Carousell’s administrative processes

• Price Checking –

Buy and checkout immediately-On the product page, select Buy Now > Select preferred variation option
(if applicable) > select Buy Now > Select preferred Shipping Option (if necessary) > Use Shopee Voucher
