Additive Manufacturing (AM), also known as 3D printing, is an evolving technology in the
maritime and offshore industries. AM technology offers appealing opportunities for the
manufacturer and for the end user. However, components made by AM require trust:
trust in the product and in the manufacturing process to be equally reliable as conventional
manufacturing processes.

We provide certification services to prove objectively that you
are a credible AM manufacturer and the end user can rely on
AM products of a high quality. Certification from DNV builds

Modern classification services by DNV

• CP-0267: Additive Manufacturing – approval of manufacturers
• CP-0291: Additive Manufacturing feedstock
• AM material grades as per the DNV rules: certification of
austenitic steels, Ni-based alloys, aluminium alloys, etc.
